70stang 8 Tier 3 is comprised of teams with multiple P5 wins and 2 losses, including a conference championship loss. Oregon is the only team in this tier, with no ranked wins, 9 P5 wins, 1 G5 win, 1 FCS win, as well as 2 Ranked losses, both to Washington, including once in the PAC 12 title game, to be 11-2. This is the strangest part of my poll this week, as Oregon ends up with no ranked wins, but also a higher winning percentage than the Tier 4 teams, even though they lost a conference championship to the only team to have already beaten them, which should really not count hugely against them, etc. Therefore, their single-team tier takes precedence over the other 2 loss teams with arguably stronger resumes.

jthomas694 8 In one sense, Oregon is a team that lost two games to the same team by 3 points each time, and both games were away from home. They're 4th in SP+ and 2nd in FPI in terms of efficiencies. On the other hand - they have three wins against teams with winning records, and none were better than 8-4. They abused the teams they had a talent gap against and lost twice to the one team on their level. It feels appropriate that they lead the two loss teams

nw____ 8 Ouch. Is their best win a road victory over a beaten up Utah team? Either that or a home win over Oregon State, I'd think. Neither are *amazing* wins but I think Oregon's resume is still better than other two-loss teams b/c of the extra win... though, on paper, it's closer than some Ducks fans would likely care to acknowledge (I'd definitely give the "eye-test" to Oregon, though).

_TGT7 8 I think if you had told Oregon fans they would go 11-2 with a Pac-12 championship birth and Bo Nix would have an incredible season, they would’ve been happy. How the season actually ended though, was a lot of pain. Oregon competing in the Big 10 will be interesting, and I wonder how that will affect team performance.

hurricaneatx 8 (11-2) - Oregon's blown the socks off of most of its weaker competition, though the Ducks's strength of schedule has been frequently derided, with their wins over Wazzou, Utah, USC, and Oregon State looking worse over time. Oregon had a shot to upgrade that resume with another shot against Washington but ultimately demonstrated they were a weaker team on the field, though they and Washington were clearly a cut above the rest of the Pac-12. Quality wins: @Utah, Oregon State

RedBarracuda25 8 Welp. The ducks were overhyped again. They fell apart in the big game. Bo Nix might've lost the Heisman because of it. Sad end to a fantastic year for the ducks. Next year will be a lot harder, but they'll find their webbed feat eventually.
