crownebeach 5 Oregon has the best DBs room in the country and one of the best defensive lines. The defense (8th in '19, 18th in returning production) gives UO a national title game ceiling, but the Ducks probably don't have the offense to win it. They're on the right track, though -- they recruit at that blue-chip level.

goodnames679 5 I thought Oregon was looking at a potentially great season and would have been looking in on a chance at the playoffs, but out of the teams I think will win their P5 conferences I see Oregon as the most likely to drop an unexpected game.

D1amondDude 7 The ducks lose their QB, but they return a whole lot of talent in a soft Pac 12.  I think the ducks could play with many of the teams here on a good day anyway, and without much in conference to really threaten them, I doubt they'd have to worry about many Ls if the Pac 12 was playing.

NyquillusDillwad20 7 Plenty of star power on this team. The only reason I have them under PSU is due to Herbert being gone.

steelcitygator 8 It's really great to see top tier defense on the West Coast again.  These aren't Chip Kelly's Ducks and the offense needs to improve but I don't think there would have been a ton of competition in the Pac-12 and could've had a decent shot at a playoff spot.

Charlemagne42 9 Oregon lost Herbert, but still has plenty of depth at key offensive positions and a system that can slot anyone with a pulse in at QB and produce success, especially given their weak conference.

Maladroit44 12 -6 | 75.0 | The Ducks are an easy team to get excited about if you're in the know, as they bring back pretty much everyone everywhere from a team that finished 2019 6th in TERSE...except for Justin Herbert. Secure a good starter under centre and you might just do the equivalent of making a CFP appearance for spring 2021.
