bretticus33 1 Who would have thought Kent State would have scored the most points on Georgia instead of Oregon or South Carolina? Regardless, Georgia won without much effort and Brock Bowers is one of the 10 best players in the country, showing off his ability to be a rusher in addition to a pass catcher.

MWiatrak2077 1 On Saturday's outing against the Kent State Golden Flashes, Georgia quickly put up points with a TD in the first 19 seconds of the game on a 75 yards from Brock Bowers, - however, Kent State refused to give in. After a tightly fought first quarter, Kent State QB Devontez Walker nailed a TD pass to WR Collin Schlee to nearly even up the score, down 10-12. Kent State would enter the second half down 13-26. The two teams quickly traded FGs, and in the fourth quarter, Kent State found some offense to score a TD, now down 22-32. Unfortunately, for the mighty underdogs of Kent (state), that is where their luck ran out, as Georgia scored another TD to put the game away and win, 39-22. As everyone expected, Kent State put up the toughest fight against Georgia since Alabama in the SECCG last year. They looked, dare I say it, looked almost human in their outing. However, it was only inevitable that Georgia would come down to earth a little bit, and it's not indicative of anything serious, - Georgia didn't take it seriously, Kent State played their hearts out, and despite a sloppy day from QB Stetson Bennett, who accrued 0 TDs, 1 INT, 272 yards, and a 7.6 Y/A, the Bulldogs were simply too talented to lose. One slight hiccup in a weekend of many does not change my belief that they still are the best team in the nation.

nw____ 1 Shaky start last week but I can forgive a shaky start against a solid Kent State team when you win 39-22. There's something to be said for getting punched in the mouth against an opponent with nothing to lose and winning anyways.

PumpSmash 1 UGA may have had a clunker against Kent State, but they're still phenomenal and it's not indicative of them as an overall unit. Be assured they'll show up to play against anyone who dare threaten the Dawg this season. They're still #1 until they lose, in my opinion.

ShamusJohnson13 1 Kent State shouldn't have been able to do that much against Georgia. There is a weakness in the armor, and Georgia has to start patching it up. otherwise they might end up in trouble against a team with a better pool of talent.

crownebeach 2 Defense showed frailty against a Kent State team that, while pretty good for a MAC team, is not going to be competing for a NY6 spot or anything. Body of work is comparable to Ohio State's overall, but they've shown both higher ceiling and lower floor.

Comit22 1 Despite the relatively close game against Kent St., they have a better win than Alabama (Oregon > Texas) and had the better performance in a close game (Kent St. was not as competitive as Texas).

Due_Connection179 1 That "close" game vs Kent State meant basically nothing to me. Georgia still has the most impressive win over the season (the thrashing of now #16 Oregon 49-3 opening weekend) and still has an unbelieve average win differential of 34.25 pts per game. Honestly though, the next month should be a cakewalk, then we can start talking about them again in November.

JB_Gibson 1 Everyone has a sleep walk game and this was (likely) UGA's. I didn't see anything or hear of anything that gives me cause for concern. The 22 points given up is shocking, but hearing after the game that a lot of freshman and second stringers were getting action early, this makes sense. Don't think it was the best move, but I'm not the coach.
