I don't care who is playing for him, you're going to get a tough, physical team who will give you everything you can handle. Fortunately for Aranda, though, the players are also excellent. I love what Jeff Grimes does with all of the outside zone he runs. There is nothing fancy about this team-- they're just daring you to stop them. The problem? Not all that many teams can. They certainly punched OU in the mouth last season. I think their chances of repeating as Big XII champs hinge on their ability to do that again-- and they may pull it off. |

While they lost some key pieces on defense, I think they'll be able to replace them and still have one of the best units in the country. All the questions are at the skill positions on offense. Basically a new corps of receivers and running backs--one of which has almost never been healthy despite his talent. Shapen has promise at QB, but he visited the medical tent in his only two starts last year. They've got to keep him healthy to win another title. |

They lose over half of their production, good for 126th out of 131 teams. A good coach can only do so much with this much turnover, especially when you play road games against BYU, Texas, and Oklahoma. |
