ewolfy13 Ballot for 2022 Preseason

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Aug. 15, 2022, 9:30 a.m.

Overall Rationale: For the pre-season, it's mostly an eye test and initial reports based on camp and talent levels

Rank Team Reason
Ohio State Buckeyes I feel OSU, Bama, and UGA are very close, but I feel OSU lost the least in the draft, after Smith-Njigba showed out in the Rose bowl, he can clearly step up to fill the top WR role
Alabama Crimson Tide Restocked in the portal, but a few lingering injuries let OSU slip past for now
Georgia Bulldogs A still very great team lost some defensive all stars, but they are still going to be great
Clemson Tigers
Oklahoma Sooners
Texas A&M Aggies Based on roster talent, they rank high, but we will see how they perform once the season starts
Michigan Wolverines
Oklahoma State Cowboys
Baylor Bears
Utah Utes
Oregon Ducks
Wisconsin Badgers
Ole Miss Rebels
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Notre Dame benefitted from a weak schedule last year, they play a tougher schedule this year, combined with losing upper classmen to the draft, and a new head coach who blew a big lead in his first appearance in a bowl game, they should not be legit CFP contenders this year
NC State Wolfpack
Michigan State Spartans
Kentucky Wildcats
Arkansas Razorbacks
Pittsburgh Panthers Losing Kenny Pickett hurts, he was the lifeblood of this offense
USC Trojans
Houston Cougars
Cincinnati Bearcats Losing a lot of talent in the draft, we will see if they can repeat their dominance with a greener roster
BYU Cougars
Penn State Nittany Lions Interesting QB battle here, will it be Clifford in his 6th year, or Drew Allar, top rated QB prospect?
Auburn Tigers Auburn snuck in due to the news of Wake losing Hartman for the time being
