frumious88 1 Even with their bad loss in the championship game, Alabama has dominated the composite recruiting. 4 of the top 5 composite classes went to Alabama in this time period. We all know that Saban is an excellent head coach but the constant shuffling of assistant coaches can be hard on a program.

iliketoupvotepuns 1 While Clemson took Alabama to the shed for the National Championship game last year, that doesn't mean the Alabama's reign of terror is over. Far from it. Alabama returns one of the best QBs in college football, a great receiving corps, and an offensive line which seems to always reload any lost talent. The running back injuries are a concern, and they will need the remaining players to stay healthy for Alabama not to revert to a more one dimensional offense. On defense, Alabama will continue to be good, if not great, especially since many of Alabama's contributors on defense return from last year. Despite last season's national championship game, I think Alabama is the most talented team heading into this year.

ya111101 1 Record: 13-0. Alabama over Clemson even though both teams are undefeated because Alabama will have many more chances to add impressive wins.Bowl Projection: Peach Bowl

BigBoutros 2 Offensive personnel returns intact and presumably healthier, even with heavy staff turnover. Defensive staff turnover should actually benefit the program (Tosh to Golding).

crimsonlaw 2 The always talented Crimson Tide have never missed the playoffs. With Tua still at the helm, and with one of the nations best receiving corps, there's little reason to think they won't be in again this year. Only an implosion on defense could derail the Tide.

DarkLegend64 2 Probably the only team that can keep Clemson from repeating.
darkra01 2 National Runner-ups. I see Alabama and Clemson being neck and neck all season.

Ticklebump 2 Bama will be in my top 3 for the foreseeable future. They are big, fast, and coached by the devil himself. The Tide have a surprisingly favorable schedule and still have 2 of my top 10 on the schedule. I think they take the W against TAMU who has a brutal stretch of games before them, and come down to a nail biter against LSU. I think who stays healthier to that point in the season will play a major role when the Tigers come to town. There is also Auburn, who I think will be average at best but that probably means they are a natty contender with how logic works.
tjstanley 2 Bama could beat everyone else until proven otherwise.

tmothy07 3 I'm ranking Alabama at 3 now because I can't come up with a reason other than my own hunches, but I think they fall from this ranking this year. My hot take: This is the year Alabama doesn't make the playoff.
