Bill3ffinMurray 1 Alabama is angry. 125-3 over the last two games. Granted it was against Vanderbilt and Ole Miss, but you don't see other teams doing that to their in-conference competition.

Chris-P-Creme 1 Bama and Clemson are neck and neck and there is a sizable gap between them. However, I think the story can be told through looking at Clemson's performance vs BC and comparing it to Alabama's performance vs Vandy. Bama laid to waste a Vandy team that places higher than BC in both offensive and defensive s&p+ rankings. Clemson did not destroy BC in the same way. Obviously Clemson has better wins, but as of right now I'm going to side with Bama until they stop completely obliterating their competition.

Ghost_of_Dude 1 125-3 over the past two games. The competition may not be world beaters, but still, jesus christ. Clemson has the better resume but it's hard to say whether or not they're better than Saban's Crimson Tide.

noahthearc 2 Alabama has rolled through their first two SEC opponents with a combined score of 125-3. At this pace, records will be broken. Despite these blowouts, Alabama stays at #2 because they haven't yet faced the tests that Clemson has.

SSJRoshi 2 Bama and Clemson will probably keep cycling through the top spots. No questions that Clemson has the best resume on paper, but Alabama is out there demolishing their conference opponents, and Vanderbilt isn't the punching bag it used to be.

T-Thugs 2 It feels like we are heading for a third Clemson/Bama final. Alabama is dominating opponents. I don't think the quality of their competition is quite as good as Clemson's, but they look damn good.

stripes361 3 Alabama only fails to move up because of Clemson's strong performance against VT. A close Tigers win would have seen the Crimson Tide at #2.
Foxmcbowser42 4 Adj +3Clearly should be a playoff team, despite a lack of decent opponents so far.

WhiteBaseCoat 10 PLRCOAT: 11.591. Alabama is the third and final team with 5 FBS wins. They are clearly an excellent team. But I cannot emphasize enough how much their early season schedule has failed them so far. The scores of those 5 teams right now: 4.307, 1, 2.5, 4.375, 1. There's not a really good win to be had there. There are a few teams on their schedule that should boost them up, maybe even into the top 5, but... jeez. I just don't know how they're gonna rate out by seasons' end, even though I'm sure they'll have a scoring margin of 1000-50 or whatever.
