The only positional group that can be completely confident in is their secondary which is likely the best unit in the country.
The O line is a huge wildcard with no returning starters, but this was another great recruiting class and they will have to rely on them starting off hot. QB is a question too but the view seems to be whoever wins the starting job has very high potential.

DeBoer will prove his caliber of coaching with a less talented roster than usual

I think the new QB concerns are overblown, but I’m also concerned about their ability to roster last decade’s levels of talent in this era. I don’t think the boosters are quite there yet, and this year will go a long way and figuring out if their roster building strategy and DeBoer mesh.

I doth wonder how much longer it would take for Bama to FULLY reach that Nebraska level of accepting that it's never going to be same...

I don’t know what to make of DeBoer and this version of Alabama. They don’t have too difficult a schedule with the Georgia, Tennessee, Texas A&M, LSU stretch being the only hard parts. But they also have to deal with Auburn in the iron bowl and let’s face it, everyone still brings their A game to beat Alabama.

Only Notre Dame has a better overall secondary, but Brown and Lee are likely the best corner duo in CFB. Unfortunately for the Tide there are questions for essentially every other position group on both sides of the ball. Russell or Mack could win this job, and it won’t matter if KDB still cannot find a way to run the ball when it matters.

Alabama has the highest floor and the lowest ceiling of any team in the SEC. They have serious questions at QB, their offensive line left a lot to be desired last year, and their run game was among some of the worst in the southeast. That being said, they still have some of the best talent across the board and Kalen DeBoer is a good enough coach to keep the ship steady. I don't expect a very remarkable season for the Crimson Tide this season, but they will still be a threat to those that they play.

Alabama has one of the best defenses in the nation, but there’s uncertainty with Keelon Russell leading the Crimson Tide’s offense.

Don’t see Deboer doing great for Alabama expectations, 8-4 9-3 miss the playoffs and the fans who got used to Saban will be going crazy

Starting Russell is a mistake IMO. I fear they may not realize that until its too late and I didn't like their portal
