| Charlemagne42 | 10 | Miraculously, 8-4 Alabama is the last team in the playoff despite an embarrassing Iron Bowl loss to a 4-win Auburn who had fired not only first-year HC Golesh, but also the interim HC they named to ride out the season. To the interim interim HC of the Auburn Tigers on November 28th, congratulations on the full-time role. We'll see you back on the carousel in 2027. |

| elnino550 | 10 | The only positional group that can be completely confident in is their secondary which is likely the best unit in the country. The O line is a huge wildcard with no returning starters, but this was another great recruiting class and they will have to rely on them starting off hot. QB is a question too but the view seems to be whoever wins the starting job has very high potential. |

| Xy13 | 11 | Toughest Games - vs FSU*, vs UGA, @ Tenn, vs A&M, @ LSU. Avoid - TX, OU, Miss --- Coach KDB's recruiting was lacking for this year's recruiting class, but don't let that fool you. They already had a young team and focused most of their efforts on retaining talent. |

| EpicSchwinn | 12 | I think the new QB concerns are overblown, but I’m also concerned about their ability to roster last decade’s levels of talent in this era. I don’t think the boosters are quite there yet, and this year will go a long way and figuring out if their roster building strategy and DeBoer mesh. |

| TheUltimate721 | 14 | I honestly wanted to drop Alabama more, because Nick Saban is not walking through that door again, but the latter half of the poll is a lot less clear so I think them finishing on the bubble could be realistic. |

| Doogitywoogity | 15 | I don’t know what to make of DeBoer and this version of Alabama. They don’t have too difficult a schedule with the Georgia, Tennessee, Texas A&M, LSU stretch being the only hard parts. But they also have to deal with Auburn in the iron bowl and let’s face it, everyone still brings their A game to beat Alabama. |

| Lefunnymaymays4lief | 15 | Only Notre Dame has a better overall secondary, but Brown and Lee are likely the best corner duo in CFB. Unfortunately for the Tide there are questions for essentially every other position group on both sides of the ball. Russell or Mack could win this job, and it won’t matter if KDB still cannot find a way to run the ball when it matters. |

| SpadeRyker | 15 | |
| SufferingfOrLife | 15 | Reasons I like them: Keelon Russell is a phenomenal young QB; the secondary is talented (Hubbard, Brown, Lee, Sabb, etc.). Reasons I dislike them: #90 in returning production, the running game is still a major question mark, and the O-line is still weak. |

| ikindalikelemons | 17 | Do I think Alabama is a better team than #17? Yes, I do. Do I have any clue who their QB is? No, I do not. No named leader, no benefit of the doubt in my rankings. |
| Lex_Ludorum | 17 | |
| lowes18 | 17 | If Keelon Russell had come out of camp having taken the QB job by the horns I would have much more faith in Alabama this season. Outside of a loaded DB room, every other position feels too deficient for Alabama to compete for anything of note in 2026. Admittedly Russell's potential is the only reason I don't have this team lower. |

| Justanother_0 | 22 | Alabama has the highest floor and the lowest ceiling of any team in the SEC. They have serious questions at QB, their offensive line left a lot to be desired last year, and their run game was among some of the worst in the southeast. That being said, they still have some of the best talent across the board and Kalen DeBoer is a good enough coach to keep the ship steady. I don't expect a very remarkable season for the Crimson Tide this season, but they will still be a threat to those that they play. |
