Justanother_0 1 Miami is my pick to win the national title this year. They have the experience in the big games, they have one of the best quarterbacks in the country coming in to reload the offense, and they have the coaching needed to both get through their lighter schedule and to beat anybody they play in the playoffs. If Miami doesn't win this year, it will likely be because they whiffed on making the dance after losing headscratchers to UNC and Boston College.

Doogitywoogity 2 Last year’s runner up with who I think is a better qb, a depleted ACC, yeah the Canes are in good shape to make a deep run again. Notre Dame is their big game, while Clemson, FSU, Pitt, and Virginia Tech are probably the only other games that could be close. So long as Cristobal doesn’t do anything stupid that is.

elnino550 3 This offense is going to be even better than last year, they have upgraded at QB, paired him up with his team mate and Duke, to go along with the 2nd best WR in college football Malachi Toney and a great RB in Mark Fletcher, they did lose pieces in the O-line including a first-round NFL draft pick but I trust Cristobel to not let this unit dip. The biggest concern will be D line since they lost 2 NFL 1st rounders, Damon Wilson will help with that but even with a slight dip, I just see this team being even better than last year with an improved offense.

Charlemagne42 4 It was looking like a perfect season - until a revenge game for Notre Dame caught the Hurricanes napping. Still, they rallied and ripped off four more wins, inclusive of the ACC title game.

Mario Cristoball lost to Curt Cignetti and Heisman Winner Fernando Mendoza by one possession in last years National Champion game. Favorites to win the ACC.

Lefunnymaymays4lief 7 Huge losses on the LOS on both sides of the ball may come back to haunt them but fortunately this is a backloaded schedule, and overall probably the easiest in the entire top 10 outside of Tech. Bakarte, Toney and Daniels is an insane group of pass catchers for Mensah, not even mentioning Fletcher Jr. taking handoffs and receiving out of the backfield
lowes18 7 Given that Miami made their hay in the college football playoff based on their line of scrimmage play, the losses to the 2026 draft do leave me with question marks coming into this season. The left tackle position is a huge unknown, either Samson Okunlola (who has an injury history, being limited in camp) or true freshman Jackson Cantwell will win the job. While Cantwell is a generational talent, who may very well just run roughshot over the ACC, potentially having two underclassmen starting on the offensive line feels like a large gamble to me. I find it hard to believe Miami's defense won't take a step back next year(you don't just replace two first round DE's that easily) so the offense will need to step up and score more to make up for it. I have faith that Mensah will be a high production QB who will be able to be what Miami needs him to be to win the ACC with their schedule, but I have questions about his ability to step up and win big games if it comes down to it.

SufferingfOrLife 7 Reasons I like them: Darian Mensah is an upgrade over Beck; Mark Fletcher Jr. is one of the top backs in the ACC; even with the loss of Mesidor and Bain, they still have strong defensive line depth.

Reasons I dislike them: Replacing both tackles and the center, question marks around overall depth of the team.

noah_divine 1 right up there with Texas in terms of best rosters in college football. the only reason they're higher is because, and i cannot believe i'm about to say this, i trust Mario Cristobal more than Steve Sarkisian to get the most out of his team.
