Doogitywoogity 1 Beating up an injured Pitt doesn’t impress me much. Wake is your only real win of the season. These next three matchups are your only “real” matchups otherwise, and two of those are UNC and Duke.

Pittsburgh.

A dominate win over Pitt. Seems like they will cruise to ACC title. UNC, ND, Duke, VT is actually tougher than it may seem but we will see

Justanother_0 1 Kinda hard to dispute this right now, especially with BYU getting pantsed by the Knights. Their offense is gonna make a mess out of anybody they play, though I worry that their defense is gonna be something that we point to come February as either the reason they couldn't win it all, or the reason why they missed the ACC title game altogether after pulling a Cristobal Classic.

redrumsoxLoL 1 Miami backed up their #1 ranking with a dominant victory over a strong Pittsburgh team on Saturday. They have looked vulnerable so I don't think they escape this season undefeated, if I was a Miami fan I'd just hope for their bad game loss to come in the regular season and not in the playoffs.

sgtshenanigans 1 The Hurricanes were number one last week and after stomping Pitt there really is no point in moving them. The Canes aren’t a juggernaut however so I think the playoffs are still shaping up to be quite interesting.

Tornadohunter24 1 [7-0, 5-0 ACC] (+1) | SOR: #3 | Notable Results: W 33-20 @ #11 Wake Forest [6-1], W 43-35 (2OT) vs Florida State [3-4], W 52-23 vs Pittsburgh [5-3] |

Last week, I chose to value the resume of BYU over the dominance of Miami in their weaker schedule to date. After this week, I cannot ignore that the Hurricanes, at least for now, look like the best team in football, with a 2-score win over a highly-ranked opponent in Wake Forest and a throttling of a hapless Pittsburgh without their starting QB this past weekend allowing them to ascend to the top of the college football mountain... for at least a week. Darian Mensah still looks like an NFL-ready QB, and Malachi Toney is a top 3 receiver in the country. Pull in their game control metrics, their dominant showings against almost all of their schedule (one Seminoles game not included), and the lack of a true challenger without a blemish, and Miami is #1.

ChBass 6 I’m going to get dinged for undefeated Miami being outside the top 5. While they have the 3rd best offense in cfb, they’re power rated #9 and who have they beaten? Their best win? #15 Wake Forest. Their second best win? #44 Clemson.
DampFrijoles 7
galacticdude7 7 Predicted Record: 11-1

Losses: @Notre Dame

Comment: This is a big deviation from the consensus that Miami is #1, but this is the reason I do the predictive stuff for my ballot, because if I truly believe that Miami is going to lose to Notre Dame, then it makes absolutely no sense to rank Miami #1
ColombianInIowa24 9 26.54 - Pitt win is solid, and combined with lower chaos, Miami (FL) rises.

Regardless, another convincing win for Miami and while the schedule has been decent (#36 SOS) the hurricanes early season win over Wake Forest looks better every week.
