douchebagjack Ballot for 2026 Week 9

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 25, 2026, 12:39 p.m.

Overall Rationale: i try to only use this years results. using general conference strength as to which wins are good vs bad. P4 win >> PAC, American > Sun Belt, MWC > MAC, CUSA. FCS wins are worthless to me. i restart each week so this will change 100% next week.

HM (no order): USC, Iowa, Nebraska, Mizzou, VT, Duke, OK St, Oregon State, New Mexico

Rank Team Reason
1 Miami Hurricanes Best 3 Wins: Wake Forest, Clemson, Florida State
Pittsburgh.
0 Losses
A dominate win over Pitt. Seems like they will cruise to ACC title. UNC, ND, Duke, VT is actually tougher than it may seem but we will see
2 Utah Utes Best 3 Wins: Houston, Kansas, Colorado.
0 Losses
Finally, a decent win for Utah. This puts them into favorable conversations. Cincy, BYU, Arizona, TCU, WVU allows for more major wins. Should be fun
3 UCLA Bruins Best 3 Wins: Oregon, Wisconsin, Michigan State.
0 Losses
UCLA stays undefeated after another win over a P4 team. Finish with Nevada, Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, USC
4 Ohio State Buckeyes Best 3 Wins: Indiana, Iowa, Illinois.
1 Losses: Texas.
ain't nobody ever lost to BYE PAWL. USC, Oregon, NW, Nebraska, Michigan to finish is tough enough that another loss + B1G Champ they may still get a bye (if Texas is good)
5 Georgia Bulldogs Best 3 Wins: Alabama, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt.
1 Losses: Auburn.
ain't nobody ever lost to BYE PAWL. Florida, Ole Miss, Mizzou, SCAR, GT to finish out
6 Indiana Hoosiers Best 3 Wins: Northwestern, Nebraska, Michigan.
1 Losses: Ohio State.
Michigan win was ugly. Michigan is also ugly. Like they are good but how good? (repeat that for everyone else to it seems) Minnesota, USC, Washington, Purdue to finish, Probably finish with the one loss.
7 Kentucky Wildcats Best 3 Wins: L.S.U., Oklahoma, Texas A&M.
1 Losses: Alabama.
Beating up on Vandy? Playing Vandy closer than the score indicates. Tennessee, Florida, Mizzou, Louisville to finish out
8 BYU Cougars Best 3 Wins: Notre Dame, Arizona, T.C.U..
1 Losses: U.C.F..
Losing to UCF in 2OT is not the way to follow up a ND victory is it. ASU, Utah, Baylor, Kansas, Colorado means a 1L BYU is in I think?
9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Best 3 Wins: Wisconsin, North Carolina, Michigan State.
1 Losses: B.Y.U..
ain't nobody ever lost to BYE PAWL. Navy, Miami, BC, SMU, Syracuse to finish leaves them lacking a major win. Wisconsin beating USC really does a lot for them tho
10 Texas Tech Red Raiders Best 3 Wins: Houston, Arizona State, Colorado.
1 Losses: Cincinnati.
Cincy loss is tough. Cincy is at least 5-2 now. But yeah that hurts hurt hurts. Arizona, WVU, OK State, Baylor, TCU left so chance for a ranked win but idk. Always have Houston
11 Alabama Crimson Tide Best 3 Wins: Mississippi State, Kentucky, Texas A&M.
2 Losses: Georgia, Tennessee.
Texas A&M win keeps Bama on the course, but is it really a natty contender?
12 Wake Forest Demon Deacons Best 3 Wins: Louisville, N.C. State, California.
1 Losses: Miami.
ain't nobody ever lost to BYE PAWL UVA, Merrimack, SMU, GT, Duke is a great path to the ACC, win the tiebreaker over SMU
13 Arizona Wildcats Best 3 Wins: Cincinnati, West Virginia, Iowa State.
1 Losses: B.Y.U..
Iowa State is a conference win it counts the same. And by 36 points is great. TTech, TCU, Utah, KState, Arizona St to finish.
14 Northwestern Wildcats Best 3 Wins: Penn State, Michigan State, Colorado.
1 Losses: Indiana.
A victory over Rutgers. Congrats. Oregon, Iowa, Ohio State, Minnesota, Illinois feels like the type of finish thats good. Ramp up, find your top then easy wins to finish
15 SMU Mustangs Best 3 Wins: Virginia, Florida State, California.
1 Losses: Louisville.
A win against Cal I guess. Syracuse, VT, Wake, ND, Stanford leave room to make a splash
16 Florida Gators Best 3 Wins: Texas, Ole Miss, Auburn.
2 Losses: Missouri, South Carolina.
ain't nobody ever lost to BYE PAWL
17 Wisconsin Badgers Best 3 Wins: U.S.C., Penn State, Michigan State.
2 Losses: Notre Dame, U.C.L.A..
USC Win is big. If USC is good. They need to beat Iowa, Rutgers, Maryland, Purdue, Minnesota to finish out. They need to go 5-0, which they could if they are good
18 Texas Longhorns Best 3 Wins: Ohio State, Tennessee, Ole Miss.
2 Losses: Oklahoma, Florida.
Season stays alive after Arch beats Ole Miss and the D almost blew it. MS St, Mizzou, LSU, Arkansas, TA&M to finish
19 Houston Cougars Best 3 Wins: Oklahoma State, Kansas State, U.C.F..
2 Losses: Texas Tech, Utah.
Losing to Utah and TT looks good as quality losses, but they need more quality wins. Cincy, Colorado, WVU, Baylor will not allow for that. I think Houston is cooked
20 Ole Miss Rebels Best 3 Wins: L.S.U., Missouri, Louisville.
2 Losses: Florida, Texas.
Ole Miss can not be losing to Texas at this point. Auburn, Georgia, Oklahoma, Wofford, MS St to finish
21 Minnesota Golden Gophers Best 3 Wins: Iowa, Michigan, Washington.
2 Losses: Mississippi State, Purdue.
Iowa is a major win that they can hang their hat on. Hoping they keep it together at this point. Indiana, UCLA, Penn St, Northwestern, Wisconsin to finish. Yikes
22 LSU Tigers Best 3 Wins: Mississippi State, Clemson, Texas A&M
Auburn.
2 Losses: Ole Miss, Kentucky.
Takes out Auburn, decent win. They are looking ahead at Bama, Texas, Tennessee b2b2b then Arkansas to finish with a YIKES 3 losses? 4 losses?
23 Boise State Broncos Best 3 Wins: Western Michigan, Memphis, Washington State.
1 Losses: Oregon.
Beating Wazzu is a good enough win. Oregon loss looking worse. Not sure where they go if they loss again.
24 Tennessee Volunteers Best 3 Wins: Alabama, Auburn, Georgia Tech.
2 Losses: Texas, South Carolina.
Not so funny when it happens to you Tennessee? Kentucky, Texas A&M, LSU, Vanderbilt to finish. 2L final in the works
25 Cincinnati Bearcats Best 3 Wins: Kansas State, Texas Tech, Boston College.
2 Losses: Arizona, West Virginia.
Huge victory over TT. That sets them up well. After two straight losses and Utah,Houston next with Iowa State, Colorado, BYU to finish
