The Gophers play very entertaining football and managed to defeat Iowa adding on their 3rd win against pre-season ranked teams in the B1G. They have back to back games against Top 10 teams in Indiana and UCLA coming up so this is their time to prove they are a contender.

Minnesota is a weird team to rank. They've got some rough losses, getting blown out by Miss State and Purdue, but they're 5-2 and they have a really nice win over Iowa (5-2) who I was also considering to be ranked. Also beat Washington (4-3). They play Indiana next week and can really show if they deserve to be ranked (maybe higher) or if they dont belong in the rankings.

Originally I had Houston ranked in the low 20s, but I’ve since learned of Weigman’s injury. I hope the kid can get healthy in time for the combine. Now onto Minnesota. They have control of 4/5 of their trophies. I’m not sure what happens when Minnesota has control over all 5 but I think it means they’ll threepeat again. They’ve earned a top 25 spot, even with their inexplicable loss to Purdue. Floyd told me to tell you that he says “Row the Boat!”
