If there is a team that has proven time and time again that their talk has outmatched their ability to back it up (despite still being a solid team), the Red Raiders of the past 2 years are, if that honor doesn't belong to the Longhorns, the absolute embodiment of it. With all the chatter and attention surrounding the program and the opportunity to squash a team they pried away a gambler disguised as a QB from, Texas Tech laid an absolute egg and the result was basically sealed by halftime. Now, they don't fall any further (despite a relatively low SOR) given their dominance against weaker opponents and solid wins @ Oregon State and against #17 Houston, but they have to turn this around quick. Otherwise, the Wildcats from Tucson will feast.

They did not look good in their upset to unranked Cincinnati. They have not lived up to their hype all season, really. Maybe this will be the kick in the pants they need to wake up.

Comment: While I had been predicting that Texas Tech would go undefeated prior to this week, that was more because I doubted anyone could beat them than because I thought highly of the Red Raiders, and that upset loss finally hit.

Texas Tech went on the road against the Cincinnati Bearcats and got dominated. After half time this game was not close. Texas Tech has looked fraudulent at times this season and they were finally fully exposed by Cincinnati.
