Pyromania1983	9	The Red Raiders have looked a little rough to start the year, and was even the case a bit in Week 3 but thankfully it came against much better competition than what they faced the first two weeks. I really like Houston and had them ranked last week, and this game was a pretty big one for both teams, even this early on. Houston's offense was great all-around, but Tech's wasn't too shabby either, doing just enough to overcome the fact that they had the ball for seven fewer minutes than Houston.

After the first quarter though, the defense was able to force enough stops on a good Houston team and Hammond led Tech to a narrow victory.

Got away with this one, and I don't think they'll have anyone who, on paper, challenges them this much for the rest of the season. Would not be surprised to see TTech in the Big 12 title game.

d1sportsball	11	Texas Tech absolved some of my worries of the previous 2 weeks by beating Houston. Their offense looked much improved as well as being more well balanced. What is concerning is the defense, which still faced issues like the prior 2 weeks. We will have to wait and see on Tech, but for now their win over Houston is one of the best in the nation.
