Overall Rationale: PageRank algorithm. Teams gain and lose rating based on the average margin of lead during the game, with a 3 point home field advantage factored in. Even if a team has a negative average margin of lead, they still gain rating since their is a minimum floor from winning the game. Their is diminishing returns so if a team's average lead in a given game is about 20 points than there is no further gains. Preseason which consists of last year's end of year ratings end after week 4. Rankings look funky, but once conference play starts and we have more connections they should sort themselves out. There is no time component to the rankings, recent games have no added emphasis.
