They had things so out of question in Week 3 against Colorado State that, despite the Rams scoring 16 points in the 4th, the Cougars still finished with an 18-point win. The offense put up almost 600 total yards, with the rushing game playing a big part, chipping in a massive 332 yards on the ground. They have a bye week this week before few more games coming up to make things right, just in time for a big showdown with Notre Dame on October 17. |

BYU went up 27-7 in the first quarter, scored an additional 17 points through the second and third, and then CSU finally scored again in Q4, effectively garbage time. There were also some penalties that helped lead to CSU's scores. CSU did lose their starting QB early in the day, which didn't help the Ram's chances. BYU RB LJ Martin had 176 yards on the day across 15 carries, scoring 3TDs. Legend Glasker had 131 yards on 5 receptions and a rushing TD. |

Bear Bachmeier is a better thrower of the ball, the run game may be the best in the nation, the defense is stout, gritty and disciplined, and for that reason BYU is my top team in the Big 12. The only concern thus far however is in defensive depth, which showed weakness against CSU. But until BYU starts losing starters, this team is lined up for a playoff run. |
