jrich960608	9	I’m not going to punish a team for going into Ole Miss and having a chance to tie it at the end. I think the Clemson game didn’t do LSU any favors because it’s clear Clemson is bad. I think Leavitt is good with his legs but clearly has steps to take as a passer, the defense is good, maybe really good, but they are lacking the whole package as of week 3. I wish they would utilize the running backs more because that’s a good group.

Josh Pate said it was "drugs" that they weren't Top 3 after beating Clemson week 1, I think it's more a reasonable tempering of your expectations (Especially since Clemson has significantly fallen off from their highs). LSU has talent, no doubt, but they are very rough around the edges. They played like what they are: A mercenary squad under a new head coach.

Doogitywoogity	14	Lane Kiffin’s LSU is a confusing squad. Dominated a bad Clemson, which looks less impressive as time goes on. Rough first half vs Louisiana Tech, which isn’t terrible just not great. And then a close loss to Ole Miss. The Tigers are still an upper tier team as far as I can tell, but they seem all over the place possession to possession. Luckily they face A&M at home and the Ags just got clocked by UK after needing a spectacular collapse from ASU the week before. A&M, McNeese, and UK should give them a good bounce back period to get right after the high school ish drama of the last week.

They have a few more weeks to sort things out before facing the big dogs of the conference. Week 4 might be tough against a Texas A&M team that just got upset, so a big bounceback win is definitely in order.

_THE__BOULDER_	8	I feel like Leavitt's first instinct is to run, rather than to throw. Maybe I'm looking too much into it, but it felt like he scrambled as often as he could. He was 16/27 for 158 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, but had 17 carries for 63 yards and 1 TD as well. Dillon Jones also had a good day, 106 yards and 1 TD over 23 carries.

I think this is still a great team, but they just don't stack up to the teams above them just yet, and that Clemson win isn't looking as great as it did before.

d1sportsball	10	LSU has had a rollercoaster ride this season, with the beatdown of a sorry Clemson, the slow start against La Tech and the wild Ole Miss return game for Kiffin. But what we've learned is that Sam Leavitt just isn't quite as good of a passer as Kiffin may hope, but he makes up for it with his underrated legs. It was a pretty good game vs Ole Miss, but the Rebels were in control from start to finish, something that can't be said about the Louisville game.

It was too much ground to make up, as Leavitt threw an interception on 4th & goal. There were long stretches in this game where Leavitt seemed to depend on his legs too much, and missing his wide open TE in the end zone was a stark contrast to the excellent QB on the other team. Kiffin now moves to 1-9 in games versus top 10 opponents on the road.
