Overall Rationale: Last year the SEC and ACC took a couple LSU and Clemson teams that finished unranked with four losses each the previous season, threw them together in Week 1, and told us the winner was a natty contender. Then LSU and Clemson finished unranked with six losses each, played again in Week 1 this year, and we called the winner a natty contender again. You hereby have my solemn vow that I will never again let myself be fooled into believing what LSU looks like against mid-ass Dabo Swinney in Week 1 is indicative of anything to come.

Also LSU's next five games are Texas A&M (which just had THAT loss), McNeese State, Kentucky, Mississippi State, and Auburn. So have fun watching them inexplicably float back into the top ten so they can be a quality win for Alabama, Texas, and Tennessee right before the playoffs. Megaconference schedules, man...
