T-Thugs 7 LSU has high expectations and they say a boatload of talent. The fans seem very excited about Nussmeier. If they can pull off a win in week 1 at Clemson, they'll probably lock up a spot near the top of my poll.

A guy with the talent and experience of Nussmeier is really hard to pass up and they are taking swings in talent acquisition.

OldCoaly 9 Nussmeier is great but Kelly can't seem to get out of his own way. If they lose by 10 or fewer in week 1 I won't drop them. More than that and they could fall.

Doogitywoogity 12 I’m not sold on the hype. I don’t trust Bryan Kelley. They have the talent, but I’m not convinced they have the coaching or the teamwork. I think if they do well it’s in spite of Coach Kelley, not because of him. They would truly prove they’re a fam-uh-lee if they can overcome him.

Real_TSwany 9 Can Brian Kelly actually do anything noteworthy with this LSU team? It's tough to say for certain. But Nussmeier is one of the best QBs in the country, and a star-studded defense looks to get him back on the field as many times as possible. If the real DBU shows up this season, and the loss of CJ Daniels isn't felt too much, this team could wind up playing for the SEC title. But this year's SEC boasts one of the conference's most level playing fields in years, so if the cards aren't played right, the Tigers could finish the season on the outside looking in with as many as 5 losses.

Lefunnymaymays4lief 14 LSU has regressed every season after BK’s debut and haven’t won a single season opener in his tenure there, and it doesn’t get any easier going to Clemson in Week 1. I have questions about their depth and replacing practically their entire OL. Nussmeier is very good, and they have two All-Americans at LB, but is that good enough to carry them to 10 wins?
