lowes18	6	Whatever people think of Kiffin, this team is absolutely loaded. Sam Leavitt had a short but very good 2025 campaign, and while health concerns are real for a QB coming off a season ending injury he will be protected by one of the best offensive lines in football. LSU has major question marks on offense, with the nations top portal class coming in and nearly every offensive skill position player likely being a transfer, but Kiffin has a talent for getting a lot out players early with an offensive scheme that is easy to transition into. For me, its much easier to buy into the on-paper talent translating onto the field, and if it does in conjunction with what is already known to be an elite defense LSU will likely be competing for an SEC and potentially national title.

Charlemagne42	7	Lane Kiffin does it again. He positions his new team expertly at 10-2, with no risk of a SEC championship loss to knock them out. He's seeded perfectly at #7, guaranteeing he won't see #1 until the final, and gets to play his first-round game against seed #10, which is looking to be the last team in. Surely it'll be Notre Dame or one of the lower-ranked conference champs. It couldn't be a team LSU lost to en route to get here. Definitely not Alabama. Nope.

ikindalikelemons	15	I'm lower on LSU than many, and I may get flak. Kiffin got himself a lot of proven players, but I'm still shaky on Sam Leavitt. The injury concerns aside, I just don't see a lot in his game that elevates a team the way he'll need to week in and week out against a tougher schedule than he saw at ASU.

Doogitywoogity	16	I’m torn. I think Kiffin could have them humming, but this is also the first time he’s been in a high expectation job since USC. This is going to test whether he changed under Saban or not. Not an easy schedule either, and I’m less sold on Leavitt than others.
Justanother_0	16	While Lane Kiffin has always put out offenses that demand the attention of any opponent on his schedule since taking on the job at Ole Miss, I have a hard time buying LSU as the national title contender that I've seen them highlighted as. Sam Leavitt, while talented, has benefited by being on the same team as Cam Skattebo and Jordan Tyson, some of the best talent the Big XII had to offer. Add that to his injury trouble and I think that this team falls apart at about the time that Leavitt does. That being said, this is still a very talented team spearheaded by one of the better offensive minds in the country, so any ranking lower than this solely based on the QB being B-tier would just be disingenuous.
