I’m definitely high on Zona. I like Fifita or however you spell his name, and they should be one of the more solid squads again this year. That said, they face off with BYU, Texas Tech, Utah, and a possibly sneaky TCU. One of the tougher Big XII schedules so they’ll have to prove it. |

Coming off an under-the-rader good 2025 season, Arizona should be solid again for 2026. With how wide open the Big 12 is, the returning production Arizona has on offense should give them a leg up compared to their competition. Arizona was able to retain some key pieces on the offensive line outside of Ka'ena Decambra who left for the NFL. With guys like Tristian Bounds who projects to be one of the better OT in Big 12 play, as long as Arizona can adequately replace Decambra they should have one of the better units in conference. Despite my faith in the offense, in my opinion the defense has too many question marks (with four DB's alone being drafted) to put this team in the Texas Tech/BYU tier of the Big 12. However Arizona should have enough talent to have an outside shot of claiming a conference title. |

Having led his team to a spectacular season and having saved his job, I expect Brent Brennan to lead the Wildcats to yet another good season. Weather that means 8-4 or 10-2 is up in the air. |

Reasons I like them: Return of Noah FIfita, all three of the top running backs return, and talented front seven
Reasons I dislike them: Have to replace one of the best secondaries in CFB last season with 4/5 portal guys starting. |

Noah Fifita is the 2026’s “oh my god he’s still around?” player, which is not an insult by any means. They exist in that same 2nd tier as Utah and Houston, and get to play BYU in week 2 to try and make noise as early as possible |
