Justanother_0 6 Ole Miss remains this high despite the calamitous coaching carousel because of Trinidad Chambliss, the guy who I think is both the best QB in the nation going into this season and my pick to win the Heisman. As long as the offense can keep trucking the way it had during the playoff run last year, Ole Miss will be a genuine threat to win the SEC this year.

Lefunnymaymays4lief 9 Here solely because of Trinidad Chambliss and Kewan Lacy. Most dynamic quarterback in college football, bar none with the best returning running back in the sport as well. If they can shoulder the load despite how much Lane thrifted upon leaving for LSU, players and staff alike, there’s a possibility they are as good as last year if not better
lowes18 9 Given the elite RB/QB combo with Chambliss/Lacey, I have little doubt this team will have a great offense in 2026. With the amount Ole Miss spent in the portal, in addition to a full off-season with Golding at the helm, I think the defense will be improved as well. Only real concern with this team is the offensive line, compared to every other team in the title hunt, Ole Miss is projected to be rather subpar at the offensive tackle position.

SufferingfOrLife 10 Reasons I like them: Front seven talent, still have offensive talent, Trinidad Chambliss is back, and Kewan Lacy is one of the best backs in the country.

Reasons I dislike them: What impact did Lane Kiffin have on this team, and an unproven tackle tandem.

ikindalikelemons 11 One of the hardest teams to evaluate. All the portal programs are, really, but this felt like a lot of moving pieces. Won't be surprised if they go up or down in a volatile motion in my rankings once the season starts.

redrumsoxLoL 11 Ole Miss lost Coach Kiffin but a run to the Semi-finals last season under the replacement Pete Golding showed that this program has the potential to rally around him and have another strong season

xX_GIGA_MAN_Xx 16 Not exactly sure what makes people so hot on Ole Miss. They won't be as good as last year, simply because of the disorganization that the split caused. I don't think they're going to fall apart and go 3-9 or worse, but playoffs? top 10? Not sure about that

Versigot 18 I think Trinidad Chambliss is a bust of an NFL prospect and completely fraudulent, but I still have no actual proof of that so I have to rank Ole Miss as if he was good at football
Doogitywoogity 19 This is largely supported by how much of a baller Trinidad Chambliss was last year. We’ll see if Golding and co can get the right scheme to support him.

Pete Golding managed to nab some CFP wins before Lane Kiffin in a twist of fates. However, alot of the offensive production and staff is gone, we will see how Ole Miss holds up this year. Many of their big games are on the road.

jtchr33 8 I never really could tell if I liked them in the CFP because they weren't the normal SEC playoff team or hated them because of SEC team. Either way, may be the under the radar SEC pick that does well in the CFP, I wouldn't complain (much) if they do it again.

ceris13 17 What does Chambliss look like without the offensive structure in years past? Losing your offensive minded coach, OC, and both starting tackles may mean this takes a bit to gel in the tough early schedule.
