Tarmacked	8	This is where this gets as bit weird. 4 spot drop for a blowout, yes. Big reason is Indiana just continues to underperform in my eyes relative to where they're ranked. I think Ole Miss has a higher ceiling and their body of work is still relatively solid (LSU/Louisville wins).

I cannot say the same this week, where the Rebels were all but jumped in the Swamp and turned into Gator meat. Louisville also exhibited several key mistakes in their own disappointing weekend loss to Wake, knocking down the Rebels' resume even further. LSU's slaughtering of the Aggies in Death Valley will keep them inside the top 15, but the bye could not have come at a better time for them.

The Swamp is a tough place to play, so I don't fault Ole Miss too much for the loss to Florida, but they just didn't look competitive. Maybe that's just the hangover from beating LSU, but I can't keep Ole Miss in my top-10 with that kind of loss.

Trinidad Chambliss is brilliant, but you need more than a good QB to win at the highest level, and Pete Golding, for being a defensive head coach, does not seem to have a very good defense! I don't think you can simply point to them not having Kewan Lacy either, there's no RB that is going to make you 24 points better.

douchebagjack	20	Best 3 Wins: LSU, Louisville, Charlotte Loss: Florida Well, that went poorly. Ole Miss came into the Florida game ranked No. 4 and left looking like they had been hit by a truck. Giving up 52 points and getting absolutely demolished in the second half is not ideal. Add to that Louisville lost to Wake Forest. I still think this is a good team, and one bad loss doesn't erase everything they did before it, but going from No. 4 to somewhere around 20 feels completely reasonable after that performance.

_THE__BOULDER_	10	After a euphoric win over LSU at home, Ole Miss traveled into the Swamp, where only Gators get out alive (this year, so far, at least). Ole Miss did well to battle back into the game in Q3, but a slow start definitely hurt them, and then add the fact that UF was able to pull away in the back half of the 3rd and then in the 4th quarter. Chambliss is still an outstanding college QB, but both offense and defense pulled up short. Going into the game, the concern was the defense, and people were unsure if UF would be able to keep up in a shootout, but the shootout didn't quite materialize. Ole Miss is still a good team, though, and has some big games coming up in October with Mizzou and Texas being on the list. Curious to see how this team finishes down the stretch.

I think there is a huge overreaction nationally with this team, they are still solid and have a better resume than all but maybe Texas as of now. As said before, win and you will move up as others do their wtf games, maybe that and the hangover from LSU is what caused it, or maybe they just cannot win on the road. No idea at this point, but want to keep them high because of their already great previous results.
