1 Texas Longhorns So far to this point the best resume, not always pretty.
2 Georgia Bulldogs Such a complete team, even if OU's sins were self inflicted.
3 Miami Hurricanes Just a strong overall team. No real standout wins but that Wake one might age better.
4 Ohio State Buckeyes Business as usual Saturday.
5 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Again with Business as usual. That said, that Wisconsin win may age well.
6 Florida Gators As a Gator fan this is the highest I've ranked the Gators since I've been a voter. I can actually count on one hand the amount of times I've ranked them, doesn't help that I've been a voter during the Napier era and I usually take advantage of the first 3 weeks grace period. Plenty of season left, but they've definitely earned a high ranking. Hopefully they keep it up.
7 Indiana Hoosiers Still top ten due to their pedigree but I feel these Hoosiers are looking shaky. So far the weakest team of Cignetti's era and I'll need to see more.
8 Alabama Crimson Tide The Tide keep rolling.
9 Ole Miss Rebels Swamped.
10 LSU Tigers Good way to bounceback from the Lane Bowl by exacting revenge for ending Brian Kelly's tenure on A&M.
11 Texas Tech Red Raiders Taking care of business so far.
12 Utah Utes IMO I feel they're the strongest team in the Big 12.
13 BYU Cougars Still want to see them against better competition but you play who you play.
14 Oregon Ducks Oklahoma State loss keeps the Ducks down but great win in LA.
15 Iowa Hawkeyes If Iowa's throwing the ball now we're doomed.
16 Mississippi State Bulldogs Good win against Mizzou, so far the biggest win of Lebby's tenure.
17 UCLA Bruins Earned a ranking in style.
18 Duke Blue Devils Criminally underrated imo.
19 Boise State Broncos Due to the events of this week, the Broncos are back in the driver's seat for the G6 berth.
20 Houston Cougars Well on their way to having another sneaky good year.
21 Tennessee Volunteers Not going to drop them for losing close to Texas but losing close has to give at some point.
22 Nebraska Cornhuskers Hello Huskers! 4-0 and look competent, can't ask for much more.
23 Virginia Tech Hokies Well they won ugly but at least they're winning.
24 Kentucky Wildcats Still in the 24 range just due to their signature win going up in smoke.
25 Oklahoma State Cowboys 25 due to the Tulsa loss but the Oregon and now WVU wins look really good.
