Again, who knows who is really good at this point but, 3 Big Ten wins for Notre Dame. Michigan State is trending up, Wisconsin is majorly trending up after beating Penn State. Purdue is Purdue but more respectable beating than Directional State University on a (extra) last second hail mary. all things considered one of the best resumes in the country.

Tornadohunter24	4	[4-0] (-) | SOR: #12 | Notable Results: W 41-13 vs #HM Wisconsin [3-1] | While not quite as dominant or firing on all cylinders like the Bulldogs above, the Fighting Irish still have been one of the more dominant teams in the nation, and with Wisconsin's upset of Penn State this past weekend, that opening night smothering of the Badgers in Lambeau just looks better and better. However, what holds Notre Dame back from challenging for a higher spot on this list is, predictably, the rest of their schedule so far. Despite being one of the few teams that can brag about having faced 3 P4 opponents so far, both Michigan State and Purdue do not appear to be good football teams. For now, the Irish have run into a soft cap, just outside the top 3.

Can't quite say the same about their win over Michigan State, who just lost to Nebraska at home by a wider margin. Still, ND has looked good in their games and I'm not inclined to ding them for what I think rather than what I know. This is a good team with a good balance of defense and offense.

That defense is scary! I still don’t know if the offense is championship ready, and we likely won’t know that until Miami.

Tarmacked	7	Really just comes down to resume with Florida. SOR of 2 and SOS of 42 compared to ND's 12 and 99. Some might want to point at Wisconsin over PSU to argue against it but to be honest that PSU team is a Campbell lead Iowa State team in Nittany colors. I'm just not buying it, he didn't bounce around the carousel for years because he was a highly qualified guy and not the seventh best option any given year.

_THE__BOULDER_	5	Notre Dame is coming off a 49-10 win at Purdue, and they had good showings against other somewhat interesting teams in Wisconsin and Michigan State. That being said, I am not too impressed by Wisconsin yet, although I do think they're better than they have been in recent years. I do absolutely believe ND is a good team, but I don't think their wins are enough to put them over the four teams in front of them. They really don't have an adequate test on their schedule until they play AT BYU on October 17th, so I'm inclined to keep them at 5th for now, barring any other teams having some good results and moving up. That being said, ND is doing what it needs to do - putting BTA against its opponents - to stay where they are, it's just a matter of time before we see how they actually stack up against higher tier competition.
