Despite the 2-2 record, I still think that's a bonefide team who will climb back up over the season if they don't quit. I also respect Wake for making Miami sweat a little in the 4th qtr, so I guess they've earned some recognition. I'm not convinced they will be consistent, however.

A win on the road against a battle-tested Louisville squad (and a reevaluation of their relatively close loss to #6 Miami) has me sliding them into the top 25 for the first time this season. A relatively favorable conference slate is encouraging, and there's a chance that Coach Dickert can go 1 step further and lead the Demon Deacons into a berth in Charlotte later this year.

Maladroit44	23	Top of C tier. There's a lot of teams down here with plenty of questions, and the ones left out are pretty interchangeable. I feel decently confident in ranking Wake Forest, which is maybe a sign they belong at the bottom of B tier instead, but TTU and Virginia I could comfortably leave out.

They're not exactly screaming "College Football Playoff contender," but somebody has to be 25. This is probably the easiest team in the poll to replace if someone outside the rankings actually puts together a convincing win. For now, welcome to the top 25, Wake.

_THE__BOULDER_	20	Wake now has a very close win @Purdue, a not-terrible loss to Miami, and a very close win @Louisville (and a home 38-16 win over Akron). I believe Louisville to be a good team and, despite them now being 2-2, have them ranked 25th. I think that this win over Louisville is enough to propel Wake into the rankings, but they will need to keep trudging along to stay in. They play Stanford next, and the Stanford offense did just have a good game against GT, but I would expect the Demon Deacons to take this one. Curious to see how this team will do going forward.

m3owzika	25	I do not think this is an overreaction to Saturday's game against Louisville. If I'm not punishing Kentucky or Tennessee for their losses against top 10 teams, then I can't punish Wake Forest for a loss against #4 Miami and not reward them for a win against previously #12 Louisville.
