8 Florida Gators It seems silly in hindsight that I left UF out last week, but for all I knew UF's close win over Auburn could have just been an exciting battle of SEC mid-tiers. But while I did figure it might be difficult for Ole Miss to get up for two big games in a row (especially on the road), I don't think anyone expected the absolute beatdown the Gators unleashed this week. No further disrespect will be given.

10 Ole Miss Rebels They still have two strong wins, so I'm willing to forgive the hangover. Some weeks you just run into a buzzsaw.

13 BYU Cougars They don't really "deserve" to drop from last week, but taking a pit stop when other teams are starting to punch in their first big wins means you might get lapped temporarily.

17 Tennessee Volunteers The Vols just can't seem to put together a complete team under Heupel. Now that the defense looks much improved over last season, they have to reckon with a true freshman QB who, while clearly talented, doesn't seem ready for big time SEC football (which they have a lot of left on the schedule). A close loss to #1 won't knock them down too far for now, but something tells me there are several more losses in their future.
18 Cincinnati Bearcats I thought (and still think) quite highly of Kansas State, so Cincy gets a big bump from me for the win this week.

21 Wake Forest Demon Deacons Probably the biggest shakeup is Wake knocking off Louisville. Despite the 2-2 record, I still think that's a bonefide team who will climb back up over the season if they don't quit. I also respect Wake for making Miami sweat a little in the 4th qtr, so I guess they've earned some recognition. I'm not convinced they will be consistent, however.
22 Oklahoma State Cowboys Losing to Tulsa is still nasty work, as the hapless Hogs demonstrated this weekend. But maybe it was just week 1 jitters? At any rate, they cleanly beat the Ducks, who in turn proved that they are still respectable by knocking off @USC, so let's see how far they can go.

25 Nebraska Cornhuskers Honestly, I don't think their wins are all that, but we are already deep enough in the season that simply remaining undefeated in a major conference is a feat unto itself.
