Overall Rationale: Out: Penn St, USC, Michigan, North Dakota St, Missouri, West Virginia
In: UCLA, Oklahoma State, Boise St, Duke, SMU, Wake Forest
Not sure why we all had Penn State so high honestly. Branding I guess. I was already low on USC and the Oregon loss proved everything I already assumed about them. Michigan's win over Oklahoma looks worse by the week and the "win" over Western Michigan looks even worse. Mizzou and WVU too close to the edge to stay in after losses (after the top 15 it really is a crapshoot though)
UCLA seems to be the better of the 2 B1G LA teams at the moment with what looks like a kill shot win to Mike Locksley. Tulsa's win over OKST is becoming more baffling by the week. Boise is the frontrunner to be the G6 playoff rep. And Duke, SMU, and Wake now seem to have entered into top 4 of the ACC discussions but are all distant second to Miami at best (though Wake did put up a decent fight).

Georgia Bulldogs

Georgia has looked like the most complete team thus far, even if it has been largely against lesser competition. Mateer jokes aside, OU's defense is still elite and Georgia's offense putting up 34 on them is pretty damn good |

The defense is legit, but Arch is not progressing. He's had 6 road starts and is 3-3. The losses to Ohio State and Georgia last year are at least understandable, but that Florida team was bad bad. And then his 3 wins have come by a combined 13 points with 2 games that went to OT and another that came down to a Hail Mary attempt. Unless Arch can get it going, I think Texas is going to waste this phenomenal defense |
