1 Texas Longhorns It was close with Tennessee but Top 25 matchups within your conference aren't supposed to be easy, they stay number 1, for now.
2 Georgia Bulldogs Have handled business against everyone they've needed to. Could be #1, but they still haven't played anyone legit, Oklahoma doesn't count.
3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Thought about dropping them lower, but their win against Wisconsin looks pretty good right now.
4 Ohio State Buckeyes Besides Texas, they've cleaned up. They should be a top 5 school.
5 Miami Hurricanes Beat everyone comfortably. Only close game was Wake Forest, who is better than we thought, they stay top 5.
6 Indiana Hoosiers Struggled against Northwestern, proves that Ohio State and Miami are better.
7 Florida Gators Crushed Ole Miss after the LSU game. LSU is a legit CFP contender, especially when at home.
8 Alabama Crimson Tide Beat Kentucky, and have pretty much handled everyone they've needed to. Excited to see what happens against Miss State.
9 BYU Cougars Didn't play, so just keep them here.
10 Ole Miss Rebels Despite the heavy loss, they did still beat LSU.
11 LSU Tigers Only Top 25 win is against Texas A&M, who is now unranked. They did stay close with Ole Miss so they stay one rank behind them.
12 Oregon Ducks They lost to Oklahoma State, which is why they fell in many ballots, but clearly OSU is pretty good. Beating USC by two scores is a statement win, put them back up.
13 Tennessee Volunteers They stayed very close to #1 Texas, they shouldn't fall or drop, keep them #14.
14 Texas Tech Red Raiders Only good win is against Houston, Tennessee and Oregon proved they are better.
15 Iowa Hawkeyes Big win against Michigan, many the best defense in the country.
16 Utah Utes One of the premier defenses in the nation
17 Mississippi State Bulldogs Beat Mizzou, it was close, but they prove they can beat real schools.
18 USC Trojans lost by multiple scores to Oregon. They fall back here.
19 Houston Cougars Besides Texas Tech (who is top 10), they've handled their opponents, top 20.
20 Oklahoma State Cowboys Beat Oregon and West Virginia who was a fringe Top 25 school, OSU belongs here.
21 UCLA Bruins crushed big 10 opponents in Purdue and Maryland, look very solid.
22 Boise State Broncos Stayed close with Oregon, who is looking pretty good right now, they get to be Top 25.
23 Duke Blue Devils Besides Tulane game, they've looked very solid. Defense looks good as well.
24 Penn State Nittany Lions Despite the loss to Wisconsin, it was still a close game. Defense is still one of the better ones in the country. They stay ranked, for now.
25 Northwestern Wildcats Stayed close with the defending national champions, destroyed Colorado, they look very good right now.
