xX_GIGA_MAN_Xx Ballot for 2026 Preseason

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Aug. 24, 2026, 12:06 a.m.

Overall Rationale: They call me the Pollster

Rank Team Reason
Oregon Ducks Great coach. Returning pieces from last year. Surely this is the year?
Georgia Bulldogs I feel like they haven't really done anything since they won in 2022(23?). Always been good, just unceremoniously lose to someone in the playoffs. I think this year will be different
Ohio State Buckeyes Gonna be good.
Indiana Hoosiers Honestly, anyone from 1-4 could be chosen to be #1. Preseason polls do not matter, but I have nothing better to do so I'm gonna do it. Also how the fuck did they just win a national championship?
Texas Longhorns Surely THIS is the year Arch makes the jump?
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Was fucked up of you to snub the Pop Tarts bowl.
Miami Hurricanes Clearly the best ACC team. Should finally win the conference this year
Texas A&M Aggies Weirdly enough, I have always looked forwards to watching the Lone Star Showdown for the last 2 years, but I keep missing it for weird reasons (fell asleep after going 24+ hours without sleep, was at another game at the same time). Maybe this is the year.
BYU Cougars I'm always big on BYU. I think they're going to retain more from last year than Texas Tech. Should be the #1 team in the B12 to start the year.
Alabama Crimson Tide Imagine telling someone 5 years ago that Alabama would let Indiana drop 24 unanswered points on them in the playoffs. Crazy
Oklahoma Sooners Remember when Rich Rod's HARD EDGE lockered Oklahoma to take DC Zac Alley from them? Good times. Anyways, Brent Venables will build a good defense. I like Mateer because his name sounds like Mater like from Cars. Good Movie
Texas Tech Red Raiders Given the amount of money they pour into the team, they should be the #1 team from the B12, but with all the offseason drama, and the mysterious disappearance of their star QB transfer, cooling off on them for now
USC Trojans Did the wordle right before I wrote this (8/24). Got it in 5/6. Take that as you will
LSU Tigers I think that Kiffin at LSU will eventually lead them to success. I don't know how good they'll be this year, if they'll make the playoffs and whatnot.
Tennessee Volunteers I like Huepel. The 2022 season was fun to watch
Ole Miss Rebels Not exactly sure what makes people so hot on Ole Miss. They won't be as good as last year, simply because of the disorganization that the split caused. I don't think they're going to fall apart and go 3-9 or worse, but playoffs? top 10? Not sure about that
Arizona State Sun Devils I like Dillingham. Don't know too much about the team but I trust he'll make a good team
Houston Cougars Willie Fritz is good. They were good last year (WVU's first win over an opponent that finished the year ranked since 2018!). They'll probably be good this year. Who Knows. Watch La La Land (2016)
Utah Utes Really hoping for a Utah - Michigan bowl game
Michigan Wolverines I thought it was odd that Whittingham would go to another team rather than just retire. They should get a good 3-5 years out of him at least. Good hire.
North Dakota State Bison I think they've always operated at around the 15-25 range even while in FCS, so I think they'll make the jump pretty easily
SMU Mustangs Find it really funny that they essentially bought their way into the ACC and immediately became one of the best teams in the conference
Arizona Wildcats I like Fifita. I think this is going to be a good year for him
Iowa Hawkeyes Kinda just there, y'know?
New Mexico Lobos Throw them a bone. I think they'll be good
NEXT 5: Louisville, Washington, Missouri, Boise St, Georgia Tech
