2 Ole Miss Rebels best SoR in the country
3 Indiana Hoosiers defending national champions, terrible SoS but look scary
4 Georgia Bulldogs Perennially good, crushing bad teams again
5 Miami Hurricanes really good last year, crushing bad teams so far
6 Notre Dame Fighting Irish 2 P4 wins against average to bad B10 teams, seem good so far
7 Ohio State Buckeyes very close loss to Texas, pretty clearly the only team as talented as Indiana in the B10 this year
8 Texas Tech Red Raiders 3-0 with a win over a team I still think will end the year ranked
9 Alabama Crimson Tide 3-0 with 2 P4 wins but without the weather delays I am not sure they get back on track and win that FSU game. Seem shaky like they have been the last 2 years
10 Louisville Cardinals 2-1 with a very close loss to Ole Miss, who might be one of the best teams in the country and a win over SMU who seems like an ACC contender this year
11 LSU Tigers Pretty clearly an SEC contender again, not sure if they will be able to win against the best teams or not though
12 BYU Cougars 3-0, 1 P4 win, winning pretty dominantly against bad teams
13 Iowa Hawkeyes 3-0, an Iowa team that could be capable of scoring points. Hard to know if Iowa State is just better than we thought or if Iowa can only score against bad G5/FCS teams
14 USC Trojans 4-0 but a lot of close wins, barely escaped Rutgers. This team has the talent to compete, not sure they can win against the best though
15 Tennessee Volunteers 3-0 but mostly beating up on terrible teams
16 Utah Utes 3-0 in dominant fashion against bad teams
17 Penn State Nittany Lions 3-0 but against terrible teams, they had a bad showing against Temple. Wisco will be a decent barometer
18 Kentucky Wildcats 2-1, sneaky good team with a good QB, could do some damage but wont be able to beat the best
19 Mississippi State Bulldogs 3-0 with 2 P4 wins, neither team is amazing but they probably aren't the worst P4 teams either. Their QB is possibly elite
20 SMU Mustangs 2-1, this team is an easy ACC contender again
21 West Virginia Mountaineers 3-0 with a P4 win against a Virginia team that probably isn't terrible. Could do some damage in B12 this year
22 Oregon Ducks I think this team was lucky to beat Boise but the talent is there, USC game will be telling
23 Duke Blue Devils defending ACC champ, 3-0 with 2 P4 wins and a win over a good G5 team
24 Virginia Tech Hokies 3-0 against garbage teams, this team is loaded with talent compared to last year and is also probably an ACC contender
25 Houston Cougars 2-1, lost a close game, probably will be a fringe top 25 team by the end of the season
