Overall Rationale: I’m going to be honest - I'm out of the country this week with very limited Internet and no access to my model. This is going entirely based on record vs FBS opponents and then vibes. I’ll have a better poll for you guys next week.

1 Texas Longhorns It’s hard to argue that Ohio State isn’t the best win in the country right now.
2 Ole Miss Rebels That had to feel incredible. Way to go Ole Miss.
3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Notre Dame has already played two conference games and- I’m being passed a note.
4 Alabama Crimson Tide There might be some concerns after giving up more points to the Seminoles than New Mexico State, but this offense is a UNIT.
5 Duke Blue Devils Nate Sheppard.
6 Mississippi State Bulldogs Mississippi State at 6? In MY CFB poll? It’s more likely than you think. Kamario Taylor is incredible.
7 Pittsburgh Panthers Pitt is 3-0. Don’t look any further into it.
8 UCLA Bruins UCLA has played 2 games so far against in-state opponents. They should really make a conference with teams from their state, they could call it something like the “Pacific Conference.” Nah, that’s stupid.
9 USC Trojans I cannot, in good faith, put them any higher after giving up 35 points to Rutgers.
10 Penn State Nittany Lions Penn State is 3-0 against FBS opponents, that much is true. Just don’t give too much mind to who those 3 opponents are.
11 Michigan Wolverines Yeah, they’re 3-0 in the record books. But we all know, Michigan. We all saw.
12 Miami Hurricanes Here’s the 2-0 against FBS line. Yeah, this offense is something else. Bump in the road against Wake but they’re still electric.
13 Georgia Bulldogs UGA is, in fact, still UGA.
14 Utah Utes Utah’s got the pillowcase full of doorknobs, watch out Big XII
15 Kansas State Wildcats That’s 2-1 in their 3-game series against Tulane, defeating that New Orleans voodoo. The Cats are good.
16 Indiana Hoosiers That’s defending national champs Indiana to you.
17 Iowa Hawkeyes 13 points allowed in 3 games. Classic Iowa.
18 West Virginia Mountaineers Huge win in the Duke’s Mayo Classic against Virginia. Rich Rod might be back.
19 Nebraska Cornhuskers
20 BYU Cougars
21 Florida Gators Tulane defeats USF, as is tradition.
22 Texas Tech Red Raiders This is not the same Texas Tech team as last year. They’re still 2-0 though.
23 North Dakota State Bison Welcome to FBS, NDSU! They’re not trapped in here with us, we’re trapped in here with them.
24 Virginia Tech Hokies I have no idea what to make of this VT team. But 3-0 is 3-0.
25 Cincinnati Bearcats See Virginia Tech, but slightly lower because of Scott Satterfield tax.
