Doogitywoogity	7	This is the first squad that feels less like they’re being ranked for pure hype. I am high on BYU to win the XII so that’s worth noting. Pretty one sided win vs an Arizona squad that I expect to be much improved this year. Shutting down the AZ offense in the second half is a good sign of adjustments that can win tight games later. Notre Dame and Utah loom large over their schedule, BYU needs to not trip up over what should otherwise be straightforward wins before them.

lowes18	12	BYU won a slugfest of a game against an Arizona team I was decently high on, so I bumped BYU up more than they probably deserved but they do get credit for beating a top 30 team by dominating on the lines of scrimmage. I still have deep concerns about the effectiveness of this BYU passing offense although Legend Glasker is emerging as a key offensive weapon. If BYU can develop a more diverse offense to pair with their dominant lines of scrimmage they could potentially be a clear front runner to win the Big 12 the way Texas Tech was perceived pre-season.

Pyromania1983	16	BYU's offense struggled a bit more in Week 2. After putting up 63 points in Week 1, Arizona largely held BYU at bay, allowing just 28 points and keeping it within 11. Even so, with Oklahoma and Oregon's losses, BYU was able to stay put despite a less-than-stellar performance.

BYU was consistent, scoring exactly 1 time each quarter, each score for a TD. Many drives for BYU ended in punts after only a few plays, but they refrained from committing any turnovers, and, ultimately, got the job done.
