BendrickLamar19 Ballot for 2026 Week 3

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 13, 2026, 11:55 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Trying to lean 50/25/25 on who I think has the best resume, with who I think would win on a neutral site, and in general how it looks like they’ll project in the back half of the season. Obviously bias comes in, no poll is ever 100% consistent, but I’m doing my best to keep inertia and bias to a minimum.

Also considered (in alphabetical order) - Colorado, Florida, Houston, Miss State (honorary 26), North Dakota State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech

Rank Team Reason
1 Texas Longhorns
2 Miami Hurricanes
3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish
4 Ohio State Buckeyes
5 Ole Miss Rebels
6 LSU Tigers
7 Indiana Hoosiers
8 Georgia Bulldogs
9 Texas A&M Aggies
10 Alabama Crimson Tide
11 BYU Cougars
12 USC Trojans
13 Utah Utes
14 Iowa Hawkeyes
15 Penn State Nittany Lions
16 Tennessee Volunteers
17 Virginia Cavaliers
18 Louisville Cardinals
19 SMU Mustangs
20 Missouri Tigers
21 Michigan Wolverines
22 Tulsa Golden Hurricane Maybe I was right last week. Tulsa might actually be that good
23 Oregon Ducks This really tests my resume rule. I know they’ve disappointed so far but I always told myself I’d be honest with my rankings, and I have no intention of NOT being honest with them, I can’t just leave them off. Even as a big resume > numbers guy, Oregon is still too talented for me to just drop them if I’m being completely honest. I am a giant hypocrite. I am part of the problem. This is their last chance though.

Also a not insignificant part of it is that as an Oklahoma State fan I think our squad is actually pretty good & not as bad as the last few years would suggest
24 New Mexico Lobos
25 Duke Blue Devils I don’t hate Texas Tech, but everything about their team screams red flag to me. Their lack of chemistry, horrible secondary, and bad vibes make me want to get off the train before it crashes.
