New_Prior2253 Ballot for 2026 Week 3

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 14, 2026, 9:31 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Based on eye test.

Rank Team Reason
Texas Longhorns A come from behind victory against the (in my opinion) #2 team in the country. A couple of plays at the beginning of the game allowed OSU to get ahead early, if not for those plays, Texas may have won by a bit more.
Ohio State Buckeyes I can't justify dropping Ohio State below #2 for losing in Austin by one. That loss was more of an indictment on Ryan Day that it was the team as a whole.
Georgia Bulldogs Georgia is destroying the less talented teams they are playing. In comparison to the last two to three years, they look better against this competition.
Miami Hurricanes Darian Mensah and Malachi Toney, enough said.
Indiana Hoosiers Indiana looks good, they are hard to gauge at the moment but similarly to Georgia, they are handling their lower level competition.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish 478-128 was the total yardage comparison against Rice this weekend, Notre Dame played with their food.
Ole Miss Rebels Five first half scoring drives for Trinidad against Charlotte, a bit worried about the defense but we will know more this weekend.
Texas A&M Aggies A&M looked great this weekend in a game some people chose them to be upset, although, the run game left more to be desired.
LSU Tigers I moved LSU back due to Leavitt throwing three interceptions. There may have been an overreaction to the Clemson game as it is clear, Clemson was not as good of an opponent as most of us thought.
USC Trojans I am keeping USC in front of Alabama until Alabama shows me a 4 quarter performance.
Alabama Crimson Tide Alabama throttled Kentucky in the second half. Have only allowed 1 3rd down conversion in the first two weeks, but have failed to dominate for four quarters.
BYU Cougars Keeping BYU ahead of TTU as I think they have looked more consistent.
Texas Tech Red Raiders TTU is behind BYU for the reason stated above.
Tennessee Volunteers Very high on this Tennessee team (unfortunately) they will continue to improve as Faizon Brandon matures.
Louisville Cardinals I am very high on UL for some reason, I can't really provide reason other than "I think they're good."
Missouri Tigers Austin Simmons looked good against Kansas. Showed grit in a heated rivalry game, they ill only get better when they get Hardy back.
Virginia Cavaliers Very high on UVA due to the maturity of their OL. I think they are the 3rd best team in the ACC.
SMU Mustangs Hard to gauge SMU quite yet, the win against FSU with a -4 TO margin was impressive enough to me to keep them in the top 20.
Utah Utes Utah throttled Arkansas because "they knew tells," if that's the case, I have faith in this coaching staff.
Michigan Wolverines We were wrong.
Oregon Ducks I have no idea, talent is off the charts, execution is lacking. Lanning might be in trouble if they can't get this turned around.
Penn State Nittany Lions Really wanted to move PSU down further after the first half against Temple. Giving them some time to figure this out.
Iowa Hawkeyes Iowa.
Oklahoma Sooners John Matter sucks.
Mississippi State Bulldogs Kamario Taylor, DOES NOT SUCK.
