TheUltimate721 Ballot for 2026 Week 3

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 13, 2026, 1:42 p.m.

Rank Team Reason
Texas Longhorns Texas gets here via courtesy of having the best win in the country right now, but even though you get the amazing comeback win and finally get one over Ohio State, I don't think this is a game you come away feeling supper satisfied by. Texas was incredibly sloppy through 3 quarters and won a war of attrition in the 4th. I think if you're Sark, you take the win, but there's a lot to improve on, because being #1 is something you have to earn every week.
Georgia Bulldogs
Indiana Hoosiers North Texas whooping ass certainly makes the game last week look way better for them.
Miami Hurricanes Miami's strength of schedule is so weak that is frankly hard to justify putting them any further ahead. They've taken care of business against the opponents you should, but they somehow avoid all of the good teams in the ACC this year so the only real test they are going to get in the regular season is Notre Dame.
Ohio State Buckeyes That was a rough second half for the Buckeyes. The second that Julian Sayin lost his safety blanket of Jeremiah Smith, he looked incapable of running an offense. They'll still probably cruise to a playoff spot, but this team looks incredibly mortal and the Big Ten is ravenous.
Texas A&M Aggies Despite many woes throughout the game, there's not many things that will do better than a dominating 4th quarter where you take the ball away a bunch.
Ole Miss Rebels
Notre Dame Fighting Irish I don't really care about a single game they play until they get BYU. Can we fast forward to that game already?
BYU Cougars
LSU Tigers I know everyone got really hyped up because of the Clemson win last week, but that was a really rough showing for Sam Leavitt and the LSU offense. 4 turnovers in the first half could be damning come SEC play. And they open up SEC play next week against *checks notes* Ole Miss. Oh boy.
USC Trojans
Texas Tech Red Raiders
Alabama Crimson Tide
Utah Utes
SMU Mustangs
Oregon Ducks The woes we saw from Oregon against Boise got really exposed by Oklahoma State. Dante Moore looked shaken to a level we haven't seen from him, and their high powered defense looked non-existent. Even the coaches looked rattled and indecisive. The decision by Moore to return could prove disasterous if this week isn't just a fluke and a sign of things to come, but this is the second week that the Ducks have really struggled. More than any specific players though, Oregon has stretches where they look incapable of moving the ball on offense if they don't get big plays.
Louisville Cardinals People will dismiss it because it's an FCS win but Villanova was a great FCS squad last year. This is nothing to scoff at/
Tennessee Volunteers
Penn State Nittany Lions
Virginia Cavaliers
Iowa Hawkeyes
Michigan Wolverines
Oklahoma Sooners
Boise State Broncos
North Dakota State Bison
