_THE__BOULDER_ Ballot for 2026 Week 9

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 26, 2026, 4:51 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Personal thoughts. I combine my thoughts on the individual games and the eye test, as well as trying to take SOS, SOR, and SP+ into account. Biased towards the Florida Gators

Changes from Last Week

Teams In:
Cincinnati
Wisconsin

Teams Out:
JMU
Iowa

Rank Team Reason
1 Miami Hurricanes Beat up on Pitt
2 Ohio State Buckeyes Bye
3 Utah Utes Good win over a good Houston team.
4 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Bye
5 Georgia Bulldogs Bye
6 Indiana Hoosiers Tough win against a Michigan defense that is one of the best in the nation. That being said, this offense needs work.
7 Alabama Crimson Tide Had a tough time against TAMU. A couple missed FGs made this a bit closer than it probably should have been but Alabama was down to start the 4th. They will probably be happy to get this upcoming bye week.
8 UCLA Bruins Solid win against Michigan St. At this point I think their best win is Wisconsin, which isn't bad, but I still think their Strength of record has not been great - ESPN has theirs at 63. They have the potential to be undefeated, but I think this will be a hard ask with Nico out and with a game against a good defense like Michigan.
9 Kentucky Wildcats Kentucky has been getting hot at the right time. They haven't been super convincing, but they have been winning. They have a bye this week before playing Tennessee.
10 BYU Cougars I guess the time change got to them.
11 Texas Tech Red Raiders Lost the Soresby Bowl
12 Wake Forest Demon Deacons Bye
13 Houston Cougars Lost a tough game against Utah. This should be the official death of their Big 12 title hopes, but they have the potential to still make top 12 if things fall correctly for them.
14 Arizona Wildcats Arizona has been rolling as of late with another big win over Iowa state. Looking forward to this weekend vs Texas Tech. Could be a Big 12 contender.
15 Northwestern Wildcats Decisive win over Rutgers.
16 Tennessee Volunteers "My death was... greatly exaggerated."
- South Carolina, probably
17 Texas Longhorns Still working on their QB play but they got the dub this time. Rushing game actually went well with over 200 rushing yards. I won't say they're turning around yet but they did look better.
18 Ole Miss Rebels Chambliss was hard to tackle but threw 3 interceptions.
19 LSU Tigers Dominant win over Auburn on the road.
20 Missouri Tigers Bye
21 Oklahoma State Cowboys Solid win over Colorado.
22 Boise State Broncos Solid win over Wazzu
23 Florida Gators Bye
24 Cincinnati Bearcats Big win in the Soresby bowl has Cincy at a quiet 5-2.
25 Wisconsin Badgers Win over USC to quietly move to 5-2. I haven't been too impressed by them but they've had a tough SOS. Their remaining SOS isn't too hard though, curious to see if they'll make it to 10 wins.
