They just evaporated Colorado, but that says more about CU's current level of "over it" than it does about the Gophers. I do think Minnesota is likely to win the Big Ten West, and if you got that bet in before the season you would have gotten phenomenal value.
Similar to the Penn State and Ole Miss wins, Minnesota's blowout victory over Colorado came against a P5 opponent whose coach is cratering the program. But despite the weak non-conference schedule, the Gophers are absolutely obliterating inferior competition to an impressive degree. Their next two games (at Michigan State, vs. Purdue) give them the chance to solidify their status as Big Ten West frontrunners. (Week 3: Minnesota 49, Colorado 7; Record: 3-0)
Ibrahim for Heisman? No, really, shouldn’t we at least talk about it?
I know they haven’t really played anyone yet, but it will be really interesting to see if he (and the team) continues to have this kind of success in conference play. He has the tools to be one of (if not the) best backs in the B1G, and that’s saying something.
