PSUMediaPA Ballot for 2022 Week 4

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 18, 2022, 9:35 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Very good games despite few teams dropping out of my poll. Mostly due to the teams either playing ranked opponents or not losing to unranked opponents.

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs SC got a junk touchdown against Georgia, but the game was basically out of reach for the majority of the contest.
Oklahoma Sooners Dismantled Nebraska after the Huskers first drive.
Alabama Crimson Tide Played LA-Monroe and did what they needed to.
Ohio State Buckeyes Although they put up a ton of points they also gave up the most points yet this season.
Oklahoma State Cowboys Easy win over an FCS opponent.
Michigan Wolverines Dismantled UConn but disappointed they didn't play a P5 non-conference opponent.
Kentucky Wildcats Handled Youngstown State with ease.
Clemson Tigers Less than stellar performance against LA Tech. I'm dropping them for now.
USC Trojans Handled Fresno State, they move into the Top 10.
Ole Miss Rebels GA Tech never stood a chance.
NC State Wolfpack Got a good win against a Big 12 opponent, Texas Tech (after they won against #25 Houston). I move them up to just outside the Top 10.
Tennessee Volunteers Easy opponent in Akron but they took care of business.
Penn State Nittany Lions Destroyed Auburn from start to finish. They climb quickly.
Baylor Bears Good, but expected, win. They move up.
Texas A&M Aggies Great defense by the Aggies kept Miami out of the endzone. They move back into the Top 15.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons They didn't lose, but they also didn't impress against Liberty.
Florida Gators Again, they didn't lose, but they didn't impress against South Florida.
Florida State Seminoles A comeback win at Louisville? Florida State suddenly seems real.
Washington State Cougars A trap game after an emotional win in Madison was expected. The Cougars took care of business.
Washington Huskies Pummeled MSU and let the defense hold them back the rest of the game.
Miami Hurricanes One score loss to A&M, but being kept out of the endzone is unfortunate for them.
Oregon Ducks A signature win for Oregon to get back into the PAC-12 conversation.
Michigan State Spartans They stay in because they didn't give up and managed to make it interesting towards the end of the game.
Minnesota Golden Gophers Pummeled Colorado and is looking like the team to beat in the West.
Appalachian State Mountaineers Dropped because they shouldn't have been in a position to win on a Hail Mary against Troy in the first place.
