mickeyquicknumbers 8 I could not care less about the Huskies record last year in predicting their record for this year. Chris Peterson is an extraordinary coach. Washington will very likely have one of the 5-7 best defenses in the nation, and the offensive upside is extremely obvious with Myles Gaskin who should be one of the 3 best running backs in the Pac-12 as a sophomore, Jake Browning who played well as a freshman and is very  likely to make a leap becoming a sophomore, and four offensive lineman coming back. Line up those units and head coach against any team ranked 9th or lower and I think Washington comes out ahead.

Xtremeloco 9 I couldn't let Tennessee and Michigan get all the 90s bros unwarranted hype alone.  So Washington gets to join.  Wait..where's Nebraska?

G-manP 11 Last season, the young Husky squad seemed to be on the cusp of prominence again, but struggled to close out a few close games. This year they return 17 starters including a their QB Browning and RB Gaskin, who are both looking poised for breakout seasons. Combined with the brilliant mind of Chris Petersen and a solid defense, Washington has a good chance of playing in the Pac12 championship game.

sirgippy 13 I'm in on Washington. Maybe faith in Peterson will turn out to be unfounded, but the signs are all there.

sunburn_on_the_brain 13 They return almost everyone and these guys showed flashes of brilliance last year.  One of the biggest keys will be Browning's accuracy.

gohuskies 16 This feels about right. Great defense, improving offense, and a contender for the Pac-12 title. My heart says 10-2 and my head says 9-3.

kamikazeguy 16 Not much to say here, I honestly don't know much about Washington but it seems like they return plenty of talent after they broke through a year before they were supposed to.

monkeymatt1836 20 Chris Peterson is one of the best coaches in the business, and is entering year 3 in Seattle. If there is one word to describe the Huskies offseason it would be hype. The Huskies are poised to have their best season in a long time. Can this be the year they finally manage to beat Oregon? If they can rack up the wins on the field their ranking will go up from 20, but they need to prove it on the field first.

ssnider23 21 This is the hype train I refuse to get on. While they did return most of their production from last year, they only won 2 decent games (USC & Wazzu) and lost some games they should not have lost (Boise St & ASU). They were #29 in recruiting rankings, and can hopefully not become a victim of #Pac12AfterDark this year.

Mythic514 22 Talk about hype out of nowhere. I must admit I'm not all that aware of the moves they've made this past year, but I can't ignore the hype surrounding the program. It's not Michigan or Tennessee levels of hype, but it's there and it's hard to ignore. I'm buying into it since they are getting some national attention and by all accounts their defense should be able to make a difference in a few conference games, but I'm not yet convinced they are a top 20 team. Potentially close, but I'd like to see them earn their way in.

BabyBladder 25 This ends my pre-season Top 25, predicting the end of season polls. If you'd like to laugh at my predictions last year, feel free! https://poll.redditcfb.com/ballot/15885/ Notably I undersold Oklahoma big time, Undersold Alabama unlike this year, and didn't have Michigan as finishing in the top 25 (but really, who did?). This year I'm under-valuing Tennessee and Ole Miss, while over-valuing Georgia, Notre Dame, MSU, and Texas compared to the AP pre-season poll.By the way, this is way harder to do than it looks, I see why most media outlets go with pretty safe predictions.

hokies220 25 Huge potential especially with Oregon and Stanford not being sure bets like usual, but this team won seven games last year and gets Stanford and Oregon back-to-back this year.
