However, thinking independently of the playoff, I think the aggregate of Ohio State's quality wins and loss is in sum slightly better than the other 11-1 teams.

Luckily there is still a path for the buckeyes, but a lot of losing ahead of them is needed. They've had championship caliber teams the past few years, just keep running into an M shaped hump.
