HieloLuz 17 Auburn is the lowest of the 2 loss teams since they only have 2 quality wins, over Georgia and Baylor, with 2 losses to Florida and Tennessee. They remain behind Georgia despite being in the same bucket partially due to the circular nature of the SEC head to head that has to be broken somewhere, and prioritizing comparing them to the closest in resume which are Texas and Florida.

Jakesnake42 19 Elite win @ Georgia makes this a top 25 worthy team when their losses are both against Top 15 teams.
T-Thugs 19 Auburn is 4-2 with wins over Georgia (6-1) and Baylor (4-2). Lost to Tennessee and florida

DarthYoda2594 20 Beat #1 you have to get in. No idea what this team is - kind of play a grindy style though that can potentially hang with anyone. Florida enters, Tennessee improves, so the two losses aren't bad either.

StFuzzySlippers 21 As for the rest of the SEC teams near the bottom... I really took a close look at the wins of 1 and 2 loss teams around the FBS, but most other candidates' wins, like Ok. State and NW, really are not that impressive. I'm sure the SEC will continue to canibalize itself, which may result in more stratification in upcoming weeks, but for now it's just a blob that's difficult to differentiate. If you rank one, it's difficult to see how the other teams in "The Blob" are any worse or better without making gut assumptions.

Lefunnymaymays4lief 22 (NR) Do I expect them to remain on this poll by season’s end? Hell no! But going on the road in TDSOR against a previously #1 Georgia and clawing your way back from a 3 score deficit regardless of the circumstances is going to get you recognition from me

quantum_jedi 24 (51.76, +16) Monumental win for Auburn over Georgia. I don't know if Auburn is any good, but they're 4-2 against the 5th hardest schedule and get LSU coming to Jordan-Hare next week.
Express_Dinner7918 25 Congrats on beating Georgia on the road Auburn. Better hope you beat LSU or your stay here will be very brief.

Ap poll omissions not previously covered:
USC: You have still given me no reason to take you seriously when your best wins are against 3 loss teams and lost to the only ranked team you have played so far.
