Sproded 5 Loss against LSU doesn't hurt much since they still have the win against UW.

Blooblod 8 Last week: 5. Auburn doesn't drop a ton despite the loss. I feel like I learned more about LSU than Auburn--I still have the same concerns that I did last week for the Tigers but the same strengths are definitely still there. I considered putting Penn State, and Notre Dame all ahead of Auburn but in the end the Tigers' win against Washington was a better resume point than anything PSU or ND have.

xelphin 8 Lost a close one to LSU. So far, Auburn has had one of the toughest 3 games to start the season due to playing two top-10 opponents. Though they lost this one, it was decided on a last-second field goal that could very well have gone the other way.

Miami_da_U 9 Lost a close one to LSU. They were able to shut down LSU's run game for the most part, and even the pass game too. The problem is the passes they did allow were for big gains. But typically when you hold the opposing QB to 44% completion%, and their RBs to <100yds and <3.6ypc you've been dominating defensively. Offensively they ran pretty well too. They really should have been able to beat LSU. Ultimately Burrow didn't turn the ball over, and Stidham did, and that was the difference. Pretty dissapointing for a Qb that was getting a lot of hype entering the season. But the win vs UW is still good, and at the end of the day they only lost by a game winning fg. They got an easy road to make ground back up until november.

VerySeriousBanana 9 The loss to LSU wasn't as bad as it could've been. Losing to a Top 10 team on a late FG doesn't drop the Tigers very far.

PHubbs 10 Auburn lost a close one that was a toss up all the way through. The game came down more to who would out penalty the other team (9 for 91 yards versus 9 for 111 yards!) than to the performances on the field. Both LSU and Auburn looked like top 10 teams, though, and still have to both get through Bama, Georgia, MSU, and A&M. They still control their own destiny, but they don't see quite ready to claim the conference yet.
