stripes361	7	Auburn showed the SEC, specifically Tennessee, how it should defend option rushing attacks. The Tigers held a tricky Georgia Southern squad to 78 yards of offense. If Kevin Steele's defense can play at a high level against SEC teams, the sky is the limit for Gus Malzahn's squad.

Extra_Excrement	12	Auburn's defense will likely be their strong-point down the road. Similarly to their last few seasons, their offense is worth questioning. The fans seem to believe in Stidham. Their offense will almost certainly be an improvement over last season's barring injuries and Malzahn's QB games. The Tigers/War Eagles are poised to finish second in the SEC West.

Arsenal7X	13	Auburn is the last team in the top 25 that I see with a legitimate shot at the national title. There seems to be a huge gap between numbers 1-14 and the rest of the country so far in terms of not only talent, but coaching and execution as well. The Tigers took care of business against Georgia Southern and travel to Clemson for what would be the game of the week for basically any other week. A win could catapult them into the top 10 or even top 5.

Cobainism	13	The SEC's other Tigers rolled over Georgia Southern in Week 1. The defense did an excellent job preparing and executing their scheme vs. GSU's triple option attack. Hyped up QB Jarrett Stidham had an okay day, going 14-24 with 2 TDs and 1 INT. He will need to improve upon those stats if Auburn wants to beat the ACC's Tigers in Death Valley next weekend.

They're talented and experienced and they have a quarterback who is probably better than anybody Florida can drum up, which is a comparison I make only so I can at least bash one rival while complimenting another. Malzahn is... well, I don't know how I feel about Malzahn, really, but he's probably fine, just fine, and I think there's still a little more fuel in the Gus Bus, despite consistently being brought up in hot seat conversations.

beerslingerjay	15	Nothing too surprising in Week 1. The defense looked incredible, and after shaking off some jitters early on, Stidham looked fine, albeit against Georgia Southern. Kerryon Johnson and Kam Martin will help bring some of the load off Stidham as he becomes more accustomed to Malzahn's offense. He'll have to hurry, though, because as of this writing, Clemson is a slightly better team than Georgia Southern.
