2017 Week 2 Kansas State Wildcats Rankings

BunnySelfDestruct 13 Did everything they were supposed to do and still fall a spot? Honestly, I think they have the weakest chance of winning their conference of the 6 "Bucket 2" teams, the Big 12 belongs to the state of Oklahoma until they show otherwise.

beerslingerjay 16 Ertz looked amazing against Central Arkansas. I don't think there's a question of whether they'll put up points. I'm anxious to see how this offense performs against a pretty solid Vandy D in Week 3.

Bill3ffinMurray 18 As with TCU and Auburn, Kansas State won, so they should move up. As a Husker fan, I admire what Bill Snyder has done and what he means to Kansas State. It'd be great if the Wildcats and Huskers could matchup one more time.

Extra_Excrement 18 Bill Snyder is a wizard. Kansas State is still riding the momentum after last season and have the potential to make a run for the Big 12. Jesse Ertz had his best game as QB for the Wildcats.

CarbonCamaroZL1 19 Was strong against Cent. Arkansas, but don't really deserve to move up as it was a Southland team and their defense needs some work.
Cobainism 19 QB Jason Ertz is emerging as one of the most exciting young QBs in the country, as he had a field day in the season opener vs. Central Arkansas. However, the defense giving up 421 yards to an FCS team is concerning, especially if KSU wants to beat Oklahoma and Oklahoma State for the Big 12 crown

WhiteBaseCoat 20 I've been juggling Kansas State and Washington State back and forth between these two spots, and ultimately it comes down to the fact that Kansas State has been more consistent. Both teams have good (maybe even great) coaches and both teams return their quarterbacks, but both teams are also not very talented at all, and that means that their on-field results are going to weigh a lot more for me. They're here because I think they've earned it by having recent success with teams that on paper shouldn't be all that good, but it can be a bit of a crap-shoot when you're not loaded with blue chippers, and I need to see more from each of them to know that this year is going to be a good one.
