KSU just crushed the defending Sun Belt champions. Who knows if Troy is as good as they were last year, but that’s still pretty impressive now.

Troy is not a bad team, but you wouldn't have known that from this game.

The Wildcats routed the reigning Sun Belt champion Trojans 42-13. Will Howard threw for 250 yards and 3 TDs and the defense produced 2 turnovers and 4 sacks. A showdown with former conference mate Mizzou is up next before taking on new conference mate UCF.

That was a quality win, Troy has a very good defense

Solid win over one of the best G5 teams in Troy. Not enough to move them any higher than this, but definitely encouraging for K-State is that Will Howard looks like the real deal.

The reigning Big XII champions welcomed defending Sun Belt Champs Troy to Manhattan in a game that definitely could’ve ended in unwanted flashbacks for the Wildcats. Fortunately for Coach Klieman, he was able to effectively shut down the Trojans for 3 of 4 quarters (the second quarter was the lone exception, and that came down to more of a one-off drive than anything) and power Kansas State to a 2-0 record. They now make the short journey east to former conference opponent and rival Missouri in their premier OoC game, and the Tigers of central Missouri (despite their close call with Middle Tennessee last week) will prove to be a decent test for the Wildcats as they prepare to embark on their title defense.

Still #2 best Big 12 team. Won 3 of the last 4 encounters vs Oklahoma. Loss to Alabama last season makes it fair to place them in between Alabama and Oklahoma,

I think this is going to be your Big 12 finalist against Texas; but they haven't really played anybody yet and so I need to see more. Gameday should be at their Big 8 reunion matchup in Columbia in my opinion.

Looking solid, can likely climb a decent bit with a win against Mizzou.
