Bernard_Samson Ballot for 2023 Week 3

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 10, 2023, 1:56 p.m.

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs
Michigan Wolverines Michigan has been dominant in it's two wins so far. However, they will need to continue to be dominant to remain in this spot with their upcoming schedule.
Ohio State Buckeyes This was a hard decision. Ohio St has two wins, but neither of them looked inspiring. However, statistically Ohio St looks better than an eye test might suggest. They will need to play well against Western Kentucky next week to remain here.
Florida State Seminoles FSU's win against LSU and their win against Southern Miss solidifies their top five status.
USC Trojans USC's dominant wins against three FBS teams keep seeing them rise, but Nevada's loss to Idaho hurts their OOC schedule.
Texas Longhorns Texas' big win against Alabama provided them a big bump. In addition, Rice's win over Houston improved their first week win.
Penn State Nittany Lions Penn St's has continued it's strong performance from Week 1.
Washington Huskies
Tennessee Volunteers
Oregon Ducks Oregon got an important win against Texas Tech, but it's difficult to rate this win with Texas Tech losing it's first two games.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Notre Dame got a big win against NC St and has two dominant wins against lesser competition.
Utah Utes Utah drops three spots after barely winning at Baylor in a game where neither team performed well.
Alabama Crimson Tide Alabama lost to Texas, but the loss showed significant weaknesses across the board.
North Carolina Tar Heels Got a good win against App St and can continue to rise with several good opponents in the upcoming weeks.
Ole Miss Rebels With a good win against a top 25 team, Ole Miss, moved up five spots. Tulane should be a top win in their resume down the stretch.
Kansas State Wildcats Kansas St also got a dominant win against really good G5 team in Troy.
LSU Tigers LSU got a dominant win, but needs to prove themselves against better competition.
Oregon State Beavers
Oklahoma Sooners
Duke Blue Devils
Miami Hurricanes Miami's win against Texas A&M vaults them into the top 25 as they have been dominant. Miami (Oh)'s win against UMASS also helps.
Iowa Hawkeyes
Washington State Cougars WSU's statement win against Wisconsin helped place them here. Depending on how well Wisconsin does this year may have big impact on WSU's long term OOC strength.
UCLA Bruins UCLA's two wins against decent FBS opponents provided a good enough argument for placement in the top 25.
Colorado Buffaloes It's difficult to judge how good Colorado is, but they deserve the spot here after two wins against p5 teams.
