pileatedloon Ballot for 2017 Week 2

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 5, 2017, 3:49 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Didn't have time to figure out the algorithm I wanted to use to rank teams this week. Suggestions are welcome as it's my first year and I'm still figuring out the right method. This week will be more of an eye test based on MOV and strength of opponent.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Took care of business against FSU, and looked solid on every side of the ball while doing so.
Clemson Tigers Looked dominant, even with a new QB. I know it's Kent State, but a 53 point MOV is outstanding for the defending champs.
Ohio State Buckeyes Struggled a bit in the first half, but dang did they looked impressive in the 2nd half.
Oklahoma Sooners
Penn State Nittany Lions Pitt is gonna feast this weekend....on its favorite dish.
Washington Huskies
Michigan Wolverines Put away another top 25 team convincingly
Wisconsin Badgers Big win
Stanford Cardinal Big win. Must be something to do if your team is red.
Oklahoma State Cowboys
USC Trojans Struggling against a Fleck-less and Davis-less WMU at home didn't look good but I'm guessing The Darnold turns things around next week.
Florida State Seminoles They looked great but lost their starting QB.
LSU Tigers
Auburn Tigers
Georgia Bulldogs Please be gentle on Saturday.
Virginia Tech Hokies Close win, but beating another top 25 team is a good look for VT
Louisville Cardinals
Miami Hurricanes
USF Bulls
Kansas State Wildcats
Florida Gators
Tennessee Volunteers They won but not in any sort of pretty fashion.
UCLA Bruins Josh Rosen is the truth. UCLA/USC is gonna be fun this year.
West Virginia Mountaineers I couldn't justify dropping them out because they looked really really good against another top 25 team, and to me that's worth a spot in the top 25.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
