kamikazeguy Ballot for 2017 Week 2

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 5, 2017, 1:22 p.m.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Beating Florida State is no easy task, but Alabama made it look mighty close with a dominant 24-7 win.  Forcing 4 turnovers, Alabama can lean on their defense as they usually do, even if Jalen Hurts CAN throw the ball downfield a little bit this year
Clemson Tigers The big question mark this game was quarterback for clemson, and Kelly Bryant seems to have rectified those concerns.  Although no powerhouse, Kent State was dealt with very easily by Clemson, a very different story than last year's game against Troy.
Ohio State Buckeyes Dropped a bit after a poor showing against Indiana, I think the Buckeyes showed some some weakness here.  A porous secondary does not bode well for their title hopes, and neither does having to dig into the playbook in order to beat Indiana.  Growing pains could accompany the new Kevin Wilson offense this season, time will tell whether true freshman RB JK Dobbins and Ohio State's fantastic D-line can pick up the slack.
Penn State Nittany Lions Penn State showed Akron (and the rest of College Football) that they were here to stay. Dominating Akron in all facets of the game (including special teams), Penn State will most likely come out even hotter next week, looking to lay some lumber on a certain team with a propensity for coprophagia.  Barkley will be in New York this year.
Oklahoma Sooners OU looked Great against UTEP (W 56-7), showing QB depth as well.  Baker went 19-20 on 329 yards, and Kyler Murray went 10-11 to boot.  The true freshman MLB Kenneth Murray needs to work on his run fits, though, or else JK Dobbins will be taking his lunch money come Saturday.
USC Trojans Looked positively lackluster against Western Michigan, with the exception of Darnold and Ronald Jones. Stanford will run all over them if they cant fix their run defense. Hopefully they can bounce back week 3!
Oklahoma State Cowboys WRs and Rudolph. Yikes.
Florida State Seminoles Lost decisively in multiple ways on Saturday.  Although losing to Alabama doesn't sink your playoff chances by a longshot, Francois tearing his patellar? Whole 'nother story.  Great defense though, Derwin James really showed his high first round status.
Washington Huskies How hard is it to blowout Rutgers?
Wisconsin Badgers
Michigan Wolverines
Stanford Cardinal
LSU Tigers
Auburn Tigers
Georgia Bulldogs
Virginia Tech Hokies
Kansas State Wildcats
Louisville Cardinals
Miami Hurricanes
Washington State Cougars
USF Bulls
TCU Horned Frogs
Oregon Ducks
Maryland Terrapins
UCLA Bruins
