1 BYU Cougars +3 - Undefeated, wins against Arizona and now Notre Dame. Deserved #1
2 Miami Hurricanes E - Even if they were more convincing against Florida State they I think BYU's record is stronger overall. That said, given how this week went them winning in itself is a good result
3 Texas Tech Red Raiders +7 - Undefeated and has the Houston win
4 Ohio State Buckeyes +2 - Best one loss team win team with Indiana and Iowa wins
5 UCLA Bruins +6 - Undefeated with several wins that are close to ranked
6 Utah Utes +1 - Undefeated but unsure what their best win is
7 Indiana Hoosiers -4 - With the loss and other close games the whole "until proven otherwise" bump is kinda off and now this is a more objective comparison to 1 loss teams. Their win over Northwestern and loss to Ohio State is better than Ole Miss win over LSU and loss to Florida
8 Georgia Bulldogs -7 - ??? (I have nothing here)
9 Ole Miss Rebels +3 - Mizzou is probably not a top 25 team but rolling them over does mean something?
10 Tennessee Volunteers +5 - you beat bama. nice.
11 Notre Dame Fighting Irish -3 - Deservedly gets the softest drop of the previously undefeated teams because BYU loss was on the road and close, and in retrospect the Wisconsin and UNC wins are decent. It still feels like they need to be Miami to reliably be in a playoff position.
12 Wake Forest Demon Deacons +1 - Blew out Cal
13 Houston Cougars +8 - "you may be the worst 6-1 team I've seen. Oh wait USC exists and you have a ranked win. Actually looking at it, you're good"
14 Kentucky Wildcats +6 - Welcome to a case of getting a pretty large bump upwards due to everyone imploding even though this was a 1 score game. I have no clue if this team is actually good given how they got blown out by an Alabama team that is mortal and they also beat LSU (in OT) and are 6-1
15 Northwestern Wildcats +1 - Forced to reward bye week because of chaos
16 Iowa Hawkeyes +1 - Forced to reward bye week because of chaos
17 Arizona Wildcats +1 - Forced to reward bye week because of chaos
18 Texas Longhorns -9 - We now begin the circus of 2 loss SEC teams. Texas' losses though are both very close (even though both teams are not top 25), they still have Ohio State and Tennessee, and even UTSA is arguably a ranked win. Now if they stay top 25 with the rest of their schedule is another question.
19 Alabama Crimson Tide -14 - Bama is kept up somewhat by the Kentucky win, but Tennessee clearly beating them also contributed to this hard drop.
20 LSU Tigers +2 - There are now no ranked wins here (Miss State also is kinda not good now) and their placement is more based on their losses than wins
21 James Madison Dukes (+9) - You are 7-0. At this point being undefeated means something
22 Boise State Broncos +3 - Seeming legit at 6-1 is enough to bump them up here
23 SMU Mustangs (+6) - I get they're 5-1 but their best win is Virginia and I can't really see them playing anyone strong until Wake Forest and Notre Dame
24 UTSA Roadrunners NEW - USF win is good. This team looks like the best in the American right now
25 Auburn Tigers NEW - You beat Georgia. Enough said. (Fully expecting you to drop out next week, but if you beat LSU, that'd be pretty funny)
